U.S Theaters listed for the Madoka movies!
Aniplex of America announced on Thursday that it is collaborating with Eleven Arts to screen the first two Puella Magi Madoka Magica films in five cities in the United States:

Los Angeles' Downtown Independent (October 19-25)
New York's Big Cinema Manhattan (October 20)
Chicago's Music Box (October 20)
Houston's Alamo Drafthouse (October 20)
San Francisco's New People (October 20)

The screenings in Los Angeles will feature exclusives and special merchandise for sale. More details will be provided at a later date.
All showings are a double feature for one ticket!

US trailer (spoilers for the whole damn series, obviously)

At my first, I didn't like the Yuruyuri S2 songs as much as the first season, but they grew on me until they took over my brain and I had to pick them up.

Along with those I also got vol. 4 of the Ro-Kyu-Bu! comicalization,

which came with this cheap poseable figure: http://imgur.com/E3ICz
It's pretty low-quality but is at least somewhat amusing to twist into scary killer robot poses: http://imgur.com/UTt1L

Did you see the other episodes?
the Star Wars collector woman was the biggest geek I have ever seen. even had a Star Wars wedding
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtPllCjAMBk LOL.
Transformer dude was a little out there also.

They also hand pretty well known toy reviewer Sean Long in an episode, had a crazy amount of Hot Toys and others.

Show is pretty cool though.

Yeah, I did. I'm actually thinking of just getting rid of my dvd and bluray cases for all my games and movies and going to binders, lest I become obsessive like that. I think I'm well past the point of keeping a sealed copy of Totori because some day I may want to sell it to someone. lol

The video has already leaked - duckroll kindly posted it for us earlier in the thread - but the advert will probably only actually air in a few minutes time in Japan. Once that happens then they will hopefully update the website and make the PV officially available.
The video has been available again for at least one hour (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4X7enrnlYFQ)... and they still haven't updated the website? Hmmm... maybe there is nothing more to see for the moment...

Fuck everything, I'm 800 miles or so from the closest showing. You guys who live in countries that are only the size of a single American state don't know how easy you have it.

I wonder if the Alamo Drafthouse showing means there's going to be some kind of crazy limited-edition pop art poster made for the release. I lurk the pop-art print OT sometimes even though I'm not into that scene and it seems to be a common occurrence.

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
Uninterested.

Need Ookami Kodomo in theatres nao.

So they decided to do the rest of Katou's character arc all in one episode, trimming out some stuff here and there that I would have liked to see, but it worked out alright. Hiro Shimono did a great job as Tsubaki for this episode as well.

Next week looks like one of the more amusing Usami chapters and something else, then the week after that they'll probably have to wrap things up somehow since Gintama is retaking the timeslot on Oct. 4.

I cant bring it in me to skip episodes. I'M CURIOUS.

It's the weakest episode, but nothing that's going to destroy your enjoyment of the show if you're marathoning the whole thing. I think that people here are still scarred from when it originally aired and the fear that Hyouka had jumped the shark permanently, hahah.

oh my god

that entire pre-opening sequence

I'm going to die from laughing so hard

and I haven't even watched the rest of the episode yet

this show has a goddamn brilliant sense of self-awareness

e: Okay, finally watched the rest of the episode. This show is incredible. It is a real shame we only get 13 episodes.

Also, it really shows off Haruka Tomatsu's range that she can play both characters like Ranmaru and characters like Asuna.

I marathoned the first dozen episodes and I didn't realize that #6 was supposed to be WORST. EPISODE. EVER. until I read this thread.
