Yeah, it took a lot of self control. Granted, I was hoping for more than a straight port. Speaking of which, we haven't heard whether or not the voice commands will make it into the Wii game have we? The code should be there considering it's probably a port of the 360 build.

That Retro article was very intriguing. They could be working on anything, though. The information isn't enough to come to a conclusion.
If a certain someone received accurate information, though, then Retro did record some gun sounds. Gun sounds can be manipulated to be many things, I suppose.

I was surprised when Retro made a 2D platformer! Anything can happen! Imagine they would not make a standard racer but a crazy open world racer in the vein of DKR, Burnout Paradise paired with their awesome art-prowess.
Did anyone else ever play this gem?
Totally broken game, but it's fun and interesting and has nice artwork. Not much point playing it after you've turned 12 though

That seems highly unlikely. Kinect was made for voice recognition & voice commands, not sure just dumping that into the Wii U port with the controller mic would work.

A month? More than a year! I still haven't bought Vanquish, holding out hope (against all reason) for eventually being able to use the pointer for aiming. Simply because I am so awful at dual-analog, but was really intrigued by the game.
But yes, I will definitely hold off buying some multiplatform games to eventually get the Wii U version. Maybe Mass Effect as well.
Vanquish (that's two years, btw)? I doubt they're gonna start porting random games over. Especially with IR control. I don't see that setup working with Vanquish at all. You need way too many buttons.

If Nintendo releases New Play Control versions of Cube games, I'd say HD collections of games are pretty likely in the future.
I know it's very unlikely. However, the recent friendship with Platinum is making me more hopeful.
It might be true, though, that it would need too many buttons. But when I played the PS3 demo, I liked it all, but was really bad at aiming with the right stick. So I first started dreaming of Move-support and now of pointer-controls.

Did Vanquish sell well?
If I remember correctly, their numbers were comparable to The Conduit in NA.
It opened at ~50k in it's first month in the US I believe.
Never gonna happen for Skyward Sword. Makes a complete 180 against the game design.
I'm still mad that button-only controls were not an option in DKC:Returns and I hope they make a sequel at some point and include the original game in a special edition or as a downloadable game with added button controls.
Fuck yeah Key to the Kingdom. Such a beautiful board game.

Honestly, it would be pretty silly to preorder any game right now considering Toys R Us or some other game seller will most likely have a buy 2 get 1 free on all games during launch. Right now I'm looking at:

I didn't preorder anything in particular. I'm planning on walking in day 1 and purchasing the titles. I plan on getting NSMBU, ZombiU, Rayman Legends and Tekken Tag. If there's a B2G1 deal then I will have to think of two more games to get.
Don't see the need to preorder. Going to buy Nintendo games digitally so I'm mostly think about picking up Zombii U at launch - if reviews are favorable.

I do want TTT2 at some point and I'll surely grab BLOPS 2. I have a passing interest in Lego City and Scribblenauts, but definitely not excited enough to be pre-ordering.

I haven't played it(Or seen it) in almost 20 years. As I recall it was a lot of fun as a kid, if a bit brutal. You fall into the pit but you've already used your grapple? Sucks to be you.
I feel bad for Australian gamers
If I ever become someone significant in this world, I will go over to Australia and force price drops to be reasonable. How I will accomplish this is a secret, but nobody will care, as long as the price of gaming goes down in Australia.I love the nice thick coat of lacquer on the black model. The only title I'm firm on is Zombi U. That with Nintendo Land that I get with my deluxe version should be enough until the middle or end of December where I might pick up something else (Lego City likely).
I have Black Ops 2 ordered but likely to drop that as I'm really tired of the modern military first person shooter. It's trying new things but I'm feeling less and less tolerant of it. Which is why I'm really hoping that Retro is working on a new Metroid Prime or at least something very similar that is scifi in nature. I'm even tempted to get Halo 4 for a change of pace as I'm not tired of the genre just that subset of it.
Edit:
I am seriously considering getting Trine 2 if it's there day one. I'm going to be a more picky about retail releases I buy but willing to give digital releases a try going forward.

Since when is Metroid realistic? Have you played it recently? It's full of weird alien creatures and mutated bio-weapons. It's the very definition of unrealistic.
