Do it! Then you can join me in pretending that you take anime way less seriously than everyone else, which makes you cooler than them by default.

That's also why I try to keep myself off the "wall of shame".

Nerds!

You mean, we're not SUPPOSED to be on the wall of shame?

The premiere is on April, 2013 and they are sold-out already.

Oh, no! I was absolutely planning on seeing this but didn't think it would sell out so fast, I didn't think anyone would care about it :( Ah well, maybe more tickets will be released nearer the time - although I suspect there's only about 50 seats in the venue anyway :(

A brand new Chuunibyo Demo Koi ga Shitai video, "Lite Episode 1":

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QK_aZiizefg

This seems to be a mini-story that won't be part of the TV series. Look's like they'll be showing a new one via YouTube every week for an unknown length of time, taking down the previous week's each time a new video gets posted.

Also, two new updates on the site's character page: Yuta and Rikka's teacher Nanase Tsukumo (voiced by Kikuko Inoue), and Rikka's sister Toka Takanashi (voiced by Eri Sendai).
Who are these K-On's?

SERIOUSLY, AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN SEE YUI AND MIO THERE?

You can sign-up to their mailing list at their homepage and wait for more upcoming information (http://www.wholehogtheatre.com/), because they've said they've been receiving so many petitions on where to buy the tickets (http://www.facebook.com/WholeHogTheatre/posts/364748500271517) that they are thinking on doing what they can to bring the show to many more people.

Ok just finished manually inputting 200 anime into MAL....
I don't know why you can't rate movie parts as a whole, I can't remember my exact impression of all 6 Kyoukai movies or all 6 Towa no Quon movies. At least now I have a MAL, dunno how to do the graph stuff though.

My 10's are:

Chihayafuru
Death Note
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed
K-On! (Movie)
Usagi Drop
Shiki
Shiki Specials
Clannad: After Story
Bounen no Xamdou
Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch

I might drop Geass, Xam'd and Clannad into 9's they're teetering at the boundary. Gunslinger girls might go up if I still love it in 3 months.

I agree on Towanoquon, I disagree on KnK. Each KnK movie is relatively self-contained, has different runtimes, and are by different directors. So they should be rated individually. Stuff like TnQ and Akito are more like OVAs, and should be rated as a series.

Kinda pointless watching it in Japanese, but I'm not getting very encouraging vibes from this to say the least.

Oh well, Haganai's pre-release stuff was pretty terrible, so I won't know for sure what I think of this until it starts airing.

Sket Dance 77 end

I think it was an odd story to choose for the final episode. Good final episodes make you tear up and get all emotional cause you wont be seeing it again, etc. I guess mainly because it just wasnt happy of sorts and the character to focus on wasnt that interesting. However the second half to the ending was really good. I love it in these type of situations only for seeing the receiving character act all awkward and such
Bossun being confesse too was so ooc and kind of cute of sorts, lol.
.

The ending animation was a nice touch, so much memories and feelings of nostalgia. I hope there is enough source for more episodes?

Overall for anime > 48 episodes but < 100 episodes, its definitely the second best one Ive encountered (1 clearly being Bakuman). There were a few weak moments in some skits in Sket Dance though and some awkward choice of what and how to animate the female characters all this whole season.

Best characters were Bossun and Tsubaki, who as the playboy on the student council said, make a good combo, and Kiri, Switch, and favorite stories were any that involved both Bossun and Tsubaki interacting and
their twin backstory episodes to occasional meeting up at Bossuns house
. First OP is still the best, "I Love You". Lastly Sket Dance osts are awesome.

Soon, everyone will have avatars like that. It is the Will of Hosoda.

Nonbelievers will be purged.

Gunslinger Girl 12

This was a very good episode, and a pretty logical extension of all the drama that recently occurred.

There was more art in this episode. Considering that these aren't in a museum (both art screens I will use are from Agency facilities), they have to have some kind of meaning, or they wouldn't be included.

I really like how Marco was handled in this episode. As we learned from the episode that focused on his relationship with Angelica, he has a lot of different conflicting emotions, but he's a very stoic person, so those things are hard to get across. But this show isn't afraid to use closeups and subtle expressions to bring out that kind of feeling. I really appreciated it.

There's some kind of obvious
death flag
directing, but I guess there isn't really any other way to do it. Or maybe I'm hyper-aware because I read the spoiler in the conversation about Season 2 that happened earlier.

Once again, like last time, I'm curious about the history of these paintings.

The bomb-making couple showed up again! I was worried I wouldn't see them, though I guess they're not going to be part of anything major in this show.

I'm looking forward to the finale.

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Lite 1

I don't know what you all were expecting from this show, but I had a good time with it. It's kind of amusing, and much more adorable than I expected.

Haha she can't play volleyball because her eyepatch screws up her depth perception.

I am far too much of a philistine to understand these particular paintings but I imagine someone, somewhere may be able to shed light on them.

MAL is pointless (for people who don't want to keep track of what they watched).

I mean, I've been harping on the futility and intellectual dishonesty of attaching numerical review scores to video games for years, why would I ever endorse such a system for anime?

Gunslinger Girl 12
Based upon Google reverse image search my extensive and sophisticated knowledge of art history, I can tell you that they are both paintings of Annunciation -- one by Leonardo da Vinci and the other by Fra Angelico.
Those are chapter numbers, and can be read in a couple of hours because have approximately 10 pages each.
Indeed. I'm on chapter 6 already. It's exceeding my expectations!

Am I the only who doesn't rate anime on MAL? I only have 3 opinions.(Good, Bad and Average)

I never rank on MAL either. I only use it so I can easily find out which episode of something I last watched months later after I stop watching it for whatever reason.

Last time I was able to rattle off a whole interpretation of the significance of the painting in the context of this episode, but here, the best I can come up with is some loose analogy between the girls as the Virgin Mary, and the angel Gabriel as the Social Welfare Agency, suddenly appearing to thrust some hugely important, life-consuming destiny onto them.

I dunno.

If they're only reading minamoto they're not ready for anything Dresden could recommend.
Dresden's tastes in animu women are largely questionable. I'm not sure I'd trust his smut recommendations.

An interesting but probably irrelevant tidbit from Wiki's entry on da Vinci's interpretation:
On March 12, 2007, the painting was at the center of a furor between Italian citizens and the Minister of Culture, who decided to place the picture on loan to exhibit in Japan.

The Light of El Cantare
Bell curves for this really don't mean much as you're self-selecting a lot of this.

Exactly, I'm picking the wrong shows. I think that counts as doing something wrong!

The only thing you're doing wrong is caring about MAL scores in the first place!

I never even started scoring stuff until after I joined AnimeGAF. You people are a terrible influence!
