It seems like you got a bad case of "getting destroyed online" ;)

Seriously though, fighters are probably not your thing if you think this is inaccessible.

Ironically he is saying Marvel 3 isn't accessible. lol?

Marvel 3 is one of the most accessible fighters in years. Its easier than Marvel 1 or 2.

Just rewatched The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and couldn't shake off Bill Murray's weird resemblance with Parappa haha

I'm so up in the air over this game. So far all the time I've spent with the beta has been mixed. It's 50/50 love/hate.

This is likely an isolated issue that may vary person to person, but it's extremely tough for me to not lose track of my character amidst the chaos. Especially if there's someone else playing as the same character.

There have been a couple times when 1-2 players dropped out of the match. The game was definitely a lot more enjoyable as 1vs1 or a 3 player FFA. The fighting mechanics are allowed to shine more that way in my opinion.

Also, what the hell is up with Kratos? He is able to level up way too quickly and easily.

You know I'm really plesantly surprised that character themes are being implemented for Level 3 Supers. When I first heard the idea thrown about here a few months ago I just thought it'd be a neat idea that probably wasn't going to be present in the game. So glad that I was wrong.

Alright waiting for the beta to open to more than just PS+ users. Clearly there is noone in my region playing or matchmaking is terribad. Being matched to US players .. constantly!

Current record 15 games, 15 of them ended with 'Connection to Matchmaking error' or 'Connection to the host error'.

Been fun though, really looking forward to it releasing. (<3 Vita Version)

Incredibly Naive
The theme music definitely needs to change... pretty damn cheesy. Other than that I'm absolutely loving this game right now.

Do you think Superbot nerfed Sly? i think it plays a bit differently from the first beta..

They completely nerfed his side square (the cane dive) and level 1 super. His side square used to put opponents in a position for great follow up, but now opponents don't even react as sly dives right through them, leaving really no chance for capitalizing. And Murray now stops at the first opponent he sees, so getting multi-kills with him is much harder. I think they added more start up and vulnerability time to his side triangle (lighting ball roll) too making it a lot less spamable.

Murray is still a great level one that comes out super fast though, and even though i find it really hard to gain AP as fast with sly compared to other characters, his ability to dodge supers and use supers with good usages of invisibility more then makes up for it in FFA or 2v2. He'd probably be even better when some easy to use combos get figured out for him.

Speaking of Sly, also think every sly should learn to never let go of the block button. The only thing you ever lose is vision of yourself, which makes things seem harder for you at first, but over time you'll learn how to keep track of your movements by feel.

For one this makes all supers hard to hit on him, not just the level 3s. And even though you are getting less AP from just the way sly is now, the opposition is going to get less ap from you.

For two its not like he has any other great ways to get in on an opponent. His cane dive is pretty useless now, and his lightning ball, which is easy to see coming and if blocked leaves him so incredibly open to counter attack. Alarm Clock and smoke ball takes so long to come out, and counter moves are always so risky. So keeping them guessing by attacking from high/low/front/behind is the best way to deal with it. You basically have 4 zones to choose from while the opponent only has the ability to choose one, so if you pick any of the other 3 you'll be coming out ahead.

For three it makes it super easy to get in the perfect spot for a super surprise Murray. So basically I want to see more invisible Slys.

Also, why are Sly level 2 users flying high up? That makes your attacks be seen from a mile away and they can be easily rolled through. If you stay like on the ground inside of the oppenent, even if they roll, you can follow and time your shot to hit him no matter what he does. Seriously I played a sly today where he activated level 2 right next to me as the other two fought on the other side of the map, and i easily rolled to avoid all of his attacks giving him 0 kills for his level 2 without even an overhang to help me.

Eh sorry for rambling. I just enjoy talking about mechanics like this, which is why I enjoy watching eSports so much. It makes me super excited to know there'll be a MLG tournament to see how people better then me will teach me how to play.

Get it at a reduced price. There are already "pros"/exploiters online that will frustrate you.

I don't see any reason why both competitive and noncompetitive people couldn't enjoy this game. Hopefully this game has a really good matchmaking system to allow for people of all skill levels to have matches against people of the same skill level.

If you are referring to people saying superbot shouldn't nerf spammy moves because they are avoidable by people with higher skill levels, then I don't know what to say other then try spamming it yourself until you can see how its countered and have fun winning with it until you do. If its so bad that it will never be stopped then yeah superbot deserves hate for poor game design, but you'll just have to take our words for it that this is not the case.

Imo there's a lot of work to do, i made 7-8 matches on vita.
1)it really needs to show scores during the match
2)sometimes i played with 2 other persons or one of the others was blocked
3)one time i chose fat princess, there was maybe a problem with the connection and then i played as kratos
4)some characters seems to be unbalanced to me, kratos is too strong and fast, killzone character is relatively too slow and difficult to use.
5)menus look somewhat amatorial
6)it needs free training(at least the beta)
7)sometimes in the chaos you can't see where your character is.

Has someone posted this yet, thought it was pretty cool. Fan art by ItsLuigiTime from the official forums I believe.

This game needs Kat

That's so great. Not only does it serve as a continual reminder of how suitable Kat is for this game, but it also highlights the omission of Heksville as a stage. It's such an iconic setting with a distinct colour palette, and would've worked beautifully. Throw in a SotC mash-up with flying colossus Phalanx causing havoc with the air traffic in the background and players having to dodge colliding vehicles swerving towards the stage, and you've got yourself a match made in heaven.

Best one:

I just scrolled them all and I think that one is my favourite too. Would love to see it animated into a gif image.

I agree with everything you said, i use sly as main and i'm almost always invisible, especially when i have to use lvl1 super, it's just a little hard to keep track of yourself sometimes.

oh, and i think Superbot nerfed sly's lvl2 too... the jetpack is much slower now!

Losing track of your character will happen when there are clones. Happens in Smash Bros too if you have the same character

Shouldn't be an issue when we have 20 characters instead of six with an obvious favorite

You can't see the scores because its Timed Mode. Smash Bros does the same thing in timed mode. Its too deter people from running away and hiding in the last 30 seconds of the match when they know they have the lead (Imagine a Sly player doing this by going invisible). There will be other modes that will allow you to know that you are winning such as Stock, and Kill Limit (most of us will probably stick to those modes).

Yea as accessible as Marvel vs Capcom 3 maybe.

It's nowhere near that level really, for one you don't have to do quarter-circle and other motions. You still have to try to get combos however, so I think it is a nice blend of SSB and more traditional fighters without being too hard to get into.

I feel like FP got nerfed a little too. I may be wrong, but the cripple on her aerial down + triangle is almost ineffective.

They talked about the scoring system not being display in a match. They said they wanted players to have that feeling of "am i winning or losing? Is the opponent beating me or is he still behind".

Don't know if I agree (makes spectating difficult).

They left out scores because they didn't want the leader to get targeted throughout the match

I think there will be an option to turn them on.

If you're good enough, you can kind of tell who's in the lead during the course of a match anyway. It's a lot more difficult if two or more players are using the same character, but this is a beta with a cast of 6. Come the final product, with 20 characters to choose from and lots of practice, you won't need to know what the score is during a match.

Besides, it makes the final reveal to see who won more satisfying.
