Got to say it was nice... but something is sad that I just realized...I always thought the Forerunner where above all life in intelligence and everything.. this just makes them sounds like the covenant..another enemy. So glad for Chief though... I love him.. he's an awesome character an if it wasn't for that Mp is 75% disappointment so far for me. Campaign second one....

I think the trailer would be better if when it says "Best Action Game" it would proceed to show an action scene from Campaign rather than Multiplayer. Felt jarring.

I've already expressed on Twitter how I feel. It sucks there isn't theatre for campaign. I don't know of anyone who would want that gone but I'm sure there is a reason.

I'm on my phone so ill have to make it brief but the rhetoric in here is incredible. Calling people who make the game assholes and idiots is terrible. These people are more than friendly and have extended more time, money, and effort to be inclusive to me at events and online than any other company, so I feel compelled to say that criticism is fine, in fact I encourage it, but at least in a respectful discourse.

"Oh god Heck is such a slurper," fine. But I consider these folks as close to friends as I could. If your friend at home made something, like seriously made something that took years, would you call them a fucking idiot because they didn't include your vision in what they were making for you? Probably not. You'd voice your opinion and so forth but this is on a much larger scale.

Again, I agree it sucks that there is no theatre for campaign. I only used it a handful of times but having the option would've been nice.

See how easy it is to say without being a complete jag?

Now fire away at your criticisms of me, I deserve it.

You know how I see it? I see it like George Lucas and Star Wars I, II, and III. Yeah, he put a lot of time and effort into it, but in the end, he destroyed what people loved about the movies in the first place. Were they still "Star Wars" movies; yeah, I guess. But he added and changed things that had absolutely no need to be changed. I'm not against changes and additions, what I am against is changes that don't make sense; change for the sake of change.

I'm not one to attack someone on a personal level, but I will most certainly criticise their decisions. Them trying really hard doesn't change the fact that they made poor choices.

This is tough, because I don't want to plague this place with spoilers, but I don't want to go into the spoiler thread, because there are even more massive spoilers in there. I'm placing them here, with spoiler tags.

Commercial spoilers follow:
(1)Chief activates the Cryptum. This means there was a failsafe for humans to activate it just like the other Forerunner artifacts. (2)"We are Forerunners, guardians of all that exists." (3)"Humanity stands as the greatest threat in the galaxies." (4) "The Forerunners have returned."

Speculation regarding the commercial follow:
(1)This makes me wonder if Didact is in the Cryptum. We know Didact does appear, based on the description in Cryptum[book] and the similarity between it and the other trailer as well as the symbol. There appears to be no reason for Didact to hate humans, so I don't believe he is the Ancient Evil. My theory is that the Cryptum is used to house something even more ancient and evil than the Forerunners.
(2)Forerunners? Didact ain't alone in this bitch. There is someone else.
(3)Galaxies? We aren't listening to the Didact or maybe the Forerunners became more than we possibly imagined.
(4)Fuck yes.

I just want to say...fucking CALLED IT months ago, way back in March from the First Look trailer!

I knew they were going to include telekinesis style features for the forerunners from this clip alone, original thread post below for reference.

The interesting thing is during the first look ViDoc we see that cube shape and angle with what looks like a master chief hand.

It's a flat shaded animation that seems to infer "Force Style" ability for force push/pull etc. Perhaps its the armour ability to allow that ViDoc animation ability?

Check 1:36 for the animation I think this icon is

Now you can see in the latest trailer video (at 47s) the Chief being "force pulled" or "telekinesis like abilities" towards the Didact. Force style powers confirmed.

I understand why you say that.

Im just saying, I would be surprised if they had the same voice actor be the main nemesis, twice.

edit: thought you said DS2, not sure who miscommunicated

Its the same voice in both. Not the voice for Death, the voice of the Narrator.

So... the Precursors are going to be pissed once they find out the Forerunner survived, right? (and the fact that the Didact still considers the Forerunner as the protectors as the galaxy when the Precursors deemed them unworthy) Seems like Humanity could get an ally during the trilogy.

Gameplay Trailer/Commercial thingy was good. It didn't have the impact that the Halo 2 commercial did but then again we've seen so much of Halo 4 at this point. We hadn't seen that much of Halo 2 two weeks before its release so it's to be expected.

Holy shit guys... Do you remember that leaked cinematic that was released about two years ago? With the purple and orange dude?

Could that have been the Didact.

From the beginning, we knew the end.

lol. You are so wrong. That scene has nothing to do with telekinesis, (First mission spoiler)
it is an in-game event from the first mission.

Wonder what The Didact means by humans being the most dangerous threat to the galaxy. There's still some Flood on other installations, good sir.

Read Cryptum.

"Do you know what you won if you were a Greek? You won a wreath around your head and you got your name carved somewhere man". So good. Thanks u4ix.

Glory was the greatest reward around back then. That's the modern day equivalent of, I dunno, getting blown by five supermodels who stuff fistfuls of cash into your jeans as they do the deed.

I think this is a poor analogy because ultimately Lucas can do what he wants. They're his films. If he thinks everything's better with more CG, more power to him. Where the issue with many people comes in is that he's effectively tried to retcon his movies. You can't find a Blu-Ray copy of the original theatrical release, because he's heaped his changes on top of them.

Comparing Lucas to Halo would be more akin to how 343i handled Anniversary, and insofar as they knew what was important, I forgave their wonky Halo because they still left the original version underneath.

Read Cryptum.

Cryptum doesn't really give us a good reason. I mean, they consider us parasites, sure... but the humans only spread as much as they did in the
ancient war
because
they were running from the Flood
