Seriously... I remember the hate Clinton got and it amazes me how that tune has changed. It's like they don't remember the venom and calls for impeachment. I don't want these people forgetting what they said last night/today as well.

It's amazing. The filters have come off and they are saying what they really want to say. After coming up with euphemisms and workarounds, they finally say what is actually on their horrid minds. It's beautiful.

I notice you didn't mention mothers and sisters. Obama won on the strength of women and the Republican views towards women are not flattering. Perhaps they should take the next four years to analyze how to change that.

If I had a middle class income I probably wouldn't be complaining

We (me and my mom) are currently living on 1/10th of what is consider middles class.
If we can somehow make it through with just that much(and we have been for many years)

Also we live in florida and Now my mom has to spend $100 in gas a week.

You'd think conservatives who want to flee Obama's America would tweak to the fact that the land they describe simply does not exist.

Anyways, as I'm sure others have mentioned, they are about to get another rude awakening when they read the requirements for emigrating to some of these other countries. And of course the tax rates and horrible social policies we've already enacted.

I bet a few US conservatives might end up in Alberta though; that's sort of Canada's Texas.

My two cents as an European: The USA politcal system is pretty much fucked right now. Mostly because of only 2 major partiers you can choose from.

My dad posted a picture of gloating Big Bird on FB, and he got a response from one of his friends about how now she's going to lose social security and medicare but at least she'll be able to watch Sesame Street.

Normally I would have refrained but I had to call her out for somehow trying to characterize the Republicans as the champions of social entitlement programs. I mean there's a line of rationality and she was way over it.

You are in the wrong thread if you think anyone who has the kind of radical conservative that is being posted about here in their family hasn't experienced a lot of crap from challenging or debating those beliefs. Kinda rude to say "try harder". You don't know what they've been through. I would wager for every single funny gif or image of someone breaking down and being ridiculous at best or extremely racist at worst, there are tons more undocumented moments of awkward family dinners, extremely embarrassing meet-the-family spousal moments and shameful memories of ignorance in their family that people aren't posting about.

Because this thread is to take a moment and laugh at the ridiculousness of all the breakdowns after a very trying election cycle.

The salty tears are definitely more delicious than 4 years ago. The right had 4 years to demonize the president. Then you had all these right wing pundits/pollsters saying Romney was going to win. All that adds up. I hate to say this but twitter and fb gave stupid people a vehicle to spread their stupidity. Thankfully my fb was not filled with idiotic posts.

I remember in the other thread some moron posted about moving to Australia because our "president" is Christian and stands up for what he believes in.

First of all our Prime Minister is a female atheist who lives with her hairdresser boyfriend of over 20 years and has no children. You wish some people would do some damn research once in a while.
