Media Create Sales: Week 44, 2012 (Oct 29 - Nov 04)

This week should mark another Vita minimum considering the new colors coming out next week...

I don't know. At some point there has to be stabilization (no matter how low that is). Remember when Vita used to constantly hover above 10k? I just don't see why te system would continually fall when other platforms like Wii, 360, and PS2 have managed a base number range. Vita has to be close to that point. But if people do wait on colors, and AC pushed potential buyers to the 3DS then it's possible, but has to be the last decrease of the year I would think.

You say constantly, wasn't it like 3 weeks?

Remember PSP Go.

It's a lock that Animal Crossing: New Leaf has had the biggest opening on 3DS since Nintendo shipped 600,000 units.

Monster Hunter 3G - 471,055 (Famitsu) - 521,959 (Media Create)

Yes, that's what i think it's gonna happen: last decrease of the year (with new historical minimum both at famitsu and MC) and then, as you say, a little increase at hardware sales.

Sadly, not much is what i'm expecting because of the lack of games for this Holiday (and pre-Holiday) season. January is a much better month for Vita, but it's a month late...

Not sure on specific but there was a number of weeks people were looking for it to happen. Regardless even weeks after that we're still close to 10k. All I'm saying is a bottom range is inevitable, and we ave to be close to tat point.

What I remember was certain people constantly saying it had stabilised just because it hadn't gone down on a particular week (often a week it had a relatively noticeable release or a week everything went up)

722k for Animal Crossing, very good :) This is also a good confirmation that digital download cards are being tracked.

EDIT: Just saw the Animal Crossing numbers for Media Create. A big difference. If i should guess, Famitsu tracks the digital download cards, but maybe Media Create doest? I guess we'll know better next week, seeing the 2nd week saes.

does that mean that the 200k digital games sold iwata talked about were bought directly from the store?
therefor 922k copies of AC?
No, Iwata said 600k shipped and 200k downloaded. The 200k downloads also includes cards being sold in the stores, which it seems that Famitsu tracks.

I think its a bit unclear whether the 200k include download cards. If I had to guess, I would think they are.

edit: the above poster seems to know more than I do about it. They seem to be included then.

The 200k downloaded so far is obviously some combination of cards and people buying directly off the shop. Both would have to download it, you see.
