It had a classic style world map. It's been changed.
That... looks really bad. It's like they took the cel-shaded look of VIII and removed all the charm. It looks sterile and amateurish (!), and that's something I never though I'd say about a DQ game. I'd rather they kept the original graphics to be honest.
Looks like a lazy effort. 3DS can do waaaay better.
DQVII is a freaking huge game. That they're remaking it alone is already something.
The map excites me more than the actual game screen. Looks like the ds games which aren't a bad thing, if it was a ds game. The ship screenshot is very bad. The inside of houses screenshots look pretty good though.
No it isn't; that's exactly what happens!Characters are definitely wearing different shields/weapons in some of the battle screens. I think I see Maribel wearing a hat in one of them, but it's probably too much to hope for new costumes on class change.
Yep.
100 hours into the PS1 version and I was only halfway finished completing the game when I checked a guide. Once I realized I was only halfway through the game, I quit.
I take a long time with my JRPGs, but DQVII was ABSURDLY long. I'd imagine they'll cut some content with the remake considering it's full 3D.
nooooooo
That's ok in my book, if it means they cut some of the worse content i am all for a more streamlined experience, especially when the game is AS long as some people here are mentioning. Who has time for such a humungous RPG nowadays?
That is one ugly looking game.
Seriously not trying to troll, but why do all of the characters look like they have some sort of developmental disability? Is that the original art design, or just an unfortunate direction of this particular port?

Just means that you shouldn't plan on playing any other game while playing DQVII.
