In that it's 20 times the size and looks absolutely nothing like it?

Seeing as the Wii U has a compatible cpu that's a fraction of the size of the Wii's, it's about time they did a lower power redesign.
Possibly manufactured in the same factory as Wii U and moved to a 45nm fabrication process.
Looks like the size of a Mac Mini (ish)
Ah yes, got a bit of an arse to it
Looks a bit larger; the redesign is still rectangular whilst the Mac Mini is quadratic.
Also why this does this have more personality than the brand new console?
Great idea launching this a few weeks after the new console that already looks like a Wii comes out.....
This does look nice.
if homebrew still works on it and it can still play gamecube discs then i'll consider picking one up to go next to my Wii U
Does it have HDMI out? Surely with it launching in 2012 and everything...
Because Wii U mini?
They're not gonna bundle a game with it... this is purely for profit at this stage. Is it just me that is worried that there are no mention of a packed in game on the box?
As somebody who never bought or owned a Wii, I like the look of this new mini this far. I might buy this because there are quite a few interesting games on the Wii that I missed out on.

But, Wii Sports isn't available to buy separately outside of Japan. Wii Sports must be included.

Seems kinda dumb to do this while there's still confusion by some that Wii U is any different from the Wii
Can see why the Wii U design was kinda dumb but I don't see why this is a bad move.
Saw it on Bestbuy.ca's front page earlier but now I can't get it to show up. Here it is on their servers: http://www.bestbuy.ca/Projects/_Con.../Assets/2012-11/Nov-23/small-banner-1-wii.jpg
I think they need to drill it into the public that the Wii U is an entirely new console before putting Wii Mini out, you can bet that a lot of the public will be scratching their heads wondering 'so now there's three Wiis?'
Iwata mentioned that they want a console that doesn't take away the gamepad from being the main focus. Also why this does this have more personality than the brand new console?
Because the other one will be swiftly phased out I imagine.

So are we all on board to call this thing the Wiini, or what?
Actually I can see it having a HDMI port, but not sure if it can carry DPII, can it?Does it have HDMI out? Surely with it launching in 2012 and everything...
