The Oblivion Club mix is killing me here. Do I really need to redo the entire disk every time just to try it again? That's just too much Korean MMO grind.

Still no shipping notification from Pentavision. I feel like this will be the first and last time that I ever order anything from them. This is getting stupid.

I feel for you, but if what I've heard is correct, Eddie pretty much spent the entire weekend in the warehouse preparing orders for shipment with little to no help. The production delay threw their logistics out the window and they're putting in mad hours to try to get things done.

It's also worth keeping in mind they only have a license to distribute the game within the US - I'm not even sure if they're legally allowed to ship into Canada but they opened it up because people requested it. (For people who have the game, is there any French on the back cover?) It's an extra service they had no obligation to perform and people should understand they need to finish their obligations in their operating region first.

This isn't the first time pentavision has cocked something up, either. I remember the release date shenanigans surrounding DJ Max Fever a few years back.

DJMAX Fever and Portable 3 were PM Studios, which was a completely separate entity. This is Pentavision Global's first console game release.

Maybe Pentavision had something to do with the delays then on the front end? It seems weird that this is now 3 dj max releases that have been less than ideal - and they are the common denominator in all 3.

Anyways, i'm not really shitting on pentavision or whatever - i can wait for a physical release. LOL at people going apeshit.

Pentavision in Korea? Almost certainly; as mentioned, the event that caused this mess was the decision to integrate the fixes that were made to the Korean and Japanese versions of the game via patch, which forced a production delay. Pentavision Global certainly aren't the ones doing the game programming, so it stands to reason the decision was made above their heads, probably to cut the cost of having to release a patch.

Sorry to hear those of you holding out for the physical copy of the game are having so many problems. Hang in there, it'll be worth it. Hopefully Pentavision learns from their mistakes with this release.. they really are a talented company.

It stands to reason that if the International orders are being separated out, then there must be a good reason for it being done this way. I don't think you're any better position to state how a company dealing with 1,500+ orders should handle their shipping process than I am. I sincerely doubt they're just holding up orders on a whim.

Heck, for all we know, the International orders could have been shipped already but their shop software doesn't support the tracking methods being used so they can't send out notifications. Not likely, but possible. But people need to stop assuming the worst. It's getting really tiring.

So is constantly defending a business.
It's really quite simple to email a client that an order has been shipped, tracking number or not.

lol at 1500 orders being something huge
My family's home business is much more efficient.

Yes, but could it be simpler if they just put a note in their website, make a statament, or so. People get worried when there is no news.

The whole debacle, (production, shipping) makes them and Sony look pretty inept here.

I will be upset if the LE box is damaged due to poor shrinkwrapping like this user on CAG:

Did yours have an incredibly poor quality shrinkwrap job on the outside of the box? It actually looks like they used a hair dryer to do it as the seams have burning and there are large holes in the wrap. Ordinarily I wouldn't care but I think the wrap may have actually damaged the white box. I'm really not pleased with the half assed job they did on rushing these out the door.

I got my LE and yeah the shrinkwrap does seem suspect but there was no damage to the box and they shipped it in bubble wrap. The entire package itself is gorgeous

Silent Clarity is really growing on me. I'm finding it the most playable of the absurdly fast songs. I haven't cleared the high level stuff on Club mixing yet so maybe absurdly fast will get redefined for me.

Though, seems they sent the regular game in one package, and the "special edition OST" in the other. Oh well, says it should be here in 1-3 days; will see. Was expecting it later, since my order number was in the high 1800s and I ordered on December 7.

I am having a hell of a time with Supernova now in club mix...that back touch base line and the syncopated stuff in the melody is making it really hard to get >75% accuracy. Anyone have tips for getting used to that kind of thing? I think that's always been a problem for me in DJMax games.

I got I shipping notification! (normal edition) I am in Brazil (and one of the last orders) so they are shipping international orders. And they have sent it by UPSP Priority with tracking (nice, they did not went First Class) so what they charged me on shipping was spot on.

Ugh I hate that I feel like I need to turn off the rear touch since the Vita is too big to make use of it and the front for the harder songs. Anyone found a good solution?

DJ Max Technika Tune LE is the like the highest quality LE I've ever owned.
Easily better than any PS3/360 offering.

Great build, materials, and design.
Very impressed. Just pure class.

Do you mean it's too awkward to hold to use the back touch?
I kind of pinch the top and bottom with my index and thumb, and tap with middle and it seems to work pretty well.

That doesn't seem comfortable to me and I feel at risk of dropping my Vita on the high level stuff. :/ I will likely avoid back touch...

Yeah, that's what I figured. You might as well still order from technikatune.com, your order will be handled by the same people either way and might even be a little faster. Plus international options are actually available.

Yeah. The "third-party" in this case IS the publisher.
Seeing how their rating is "Just Launched", it seems that they're selling it through Amazon, so that people can use Amazon Credit/Gift Cards/etc. and do everything through Amazon; just that it won't be fulfilled or sold by Amazon themselves; like most third-parties.

Damn, must suck to lose out on Amazon fees going this route.

This game has to have a tiny as heck print run.

I thought you can't use Amazon Credit, Gift cards unless its fulfilled or sold by Amazon. So I guess this means Amazon won't be selling the game.

This looks very interesting to me but I've never played a DJ Max game in my life. I do like rhythm games like Rock Band. Is this an easy game to get into and have fun with, if you're a beginner?

Technika is a lot more intuitive than the other entries in the series, but you'll probably find the learning curve is steeper than that of casual music games like Rock Band. I don't think it's excessively hard, but you should go in expecting to be challenged.

Yeah...it's sort of a monhun claw situation.
I can't deal with how cramped it is with everything on the front screen though.
Playcount at 470 and I haven't dropped it yet but...yeah it took a while to acclimate to holding it to back tap.

You have to stay relaxed when things get fast, otherwise you will both fail and maybe lose the vita.

My copy came yesterday, and the game's pretty great so far. I'm honestly surprised at the production values - the video clips, menus, everything looks sharp. All of the delays soured me on the game a little, but I'm loving it now that it's here.
