SQ is the be the worst dev this Gen. I still can't believe it. and this doesn't help. They know exactly what the people want and can't deliver on it

Everything! They're basically a non-entity at this point. They used to be the cream of the crop in terms of development and now they're the Kojima Productions Show.

-I don't even think they make their own games anymore outside of KojiPro, Benami and their Social Division. They outsource and supervise more than develop.
-The latest Genso Suikoden PSP game, although advertised with a ton of old Suikoden merch like the huge encyclopedia, is demonstrative that it was an extremely low budget affair designed to try to satiate fans but it shows that it was poorly funded effort on behalf of the company
-Their HD collections are generally on the lower end of the spectrum. See: Silent Hill HD Collection: ZX Spectrum Downport; This post with pics and gifs.
-They closed Team Silent
-They disbanded the Genso Suikoden dev team
-Ganbare Goemon where is it? Pachislot? What, that's how you're celebrating the anniversary?
-Igavania? Outside of the Rebirth games, what happened?
-FIFA > PES now, apparently
-Hudson is dead.
-Probably a lot more than I can think of at the top of my head.
-They don't do anything anymore.

Now they can't even remember how to give a press conference.

I hope they can really get back on track next generation. This generation saw a fair amount of stumbling across more than just SE.

Most people just want Bravely Default and Type-0 localizations, with some Versus news. It's not that hard to please us, but I will keep my hopes low for now.

I want them to put all their staff into making one single game. Give the developers the time they need and let them make a new rpg of a new franchise. No reused stuff.
Make it nextgen. Make it a long, dark yet emotional story, with a cast of colorfull but not jpop kind characters. In an open world.

I guess your right. I'm a little bias because I'm a Huge SQ fan so whatever screw up they do effects me so much more. everything you said is true though.. you don't want to see my list of SQ mess ups this Gen though lol

Last Remnant 2 and Versus XIII guys. Oh, and make the combat system of FFXIV 2.0 back to being like Xenoblade (aka version 1.23) rather than the WoW knockoff 2.0 is currently resembling.

The lack of FFXV mentions is a little disturbing. Do people really not want the series to continue? Damn, is it going to be Lightning, Versus, 13, HDs, mmos, and portables from now on? Maybe theres a reason its all stagnating.

People want them to focus on their current batch of work first - or at least I do. Once that happens, only then will I care about a potential XV.

They want Sq to release all the games they announced/hyped so far first then worry about FFXV

It's the best idea for a game. I can just imagine the characters flowing like colorful ghosts around the screen. I think it should be cell-shaded though - but really tight and detailed cell-shading so it looks like one of his paintings. Square always complained that it couldn't fully realise Amano's artistic style, but I think this would be the best outlet for it.

Besides that, Bravely Default localized, a new Last Remnant game (one can dream) and Type-0 localized to something that isn't PSP or iOS/Android. PS3 upconvert would be amazing.

Oh and Versus, but we all know even if they put all focus on it right now it still wouldn't be ready by year's end.

Maybe its worse for me since I don't have much interest in anything they've announced Japan-side. I just want the main FF series back. Its like they put it away to do all this side stuff that they can't even finish.

I just realized how much I don't care about the FF series anymore. There are just so many remakes, sequels, renditions, re-releases, etc. of the series that the franchise is too watered down.

Assuming you meant 15, yes, I would like Square to FINISH things they started 7 years ago before starting a new game. When they've actually done that, then they can lay the FNC to rest and move on.
