Yeah.

Retro Studio's game is probably:
- Stylized instead of "realistic" ...not like Naughty Dog's games
- Has "high quality, hand painted 2D textures with 3D geometry"
- A game with "bosses"
- Has ambient effects / environmental effects / weather effects / cinematic cutscenes
they'll announce the GamePad XL
This is make or break time for myself buying this thing.I wanna see something.
Believe, GAF.
BELIEVE
Starfox PrimeMetroid Prime?
Silliest guess yet. 6.2 inches isn't enough for 480P? To branch off of that idea, perhaps they'll announce games that support 2 Gamepads (like they said was possible) and start selling them standalone.
Yeah.

Basically.
100% trickle
one game a week
for a while
then they'll forget about it for months at a time
Yeah.

I was totally expecting one final DS revision after the 3DS came out where it would be micro sized like the GBM.yeah you're right, it'll be the gamepad micro
I don't want to live on this planet any more.
Seriously, they have to cut this shit out. We're lucky to get one VC game a week on the 3DS- this can't happen again for the Wii U. Seeing as how there's already a huge catalogue of stuff available on the Wii, I really hope they just let you access that same stuff from the Wii U. I can't deal with the trickle again.
This probably wouldn't be so bad if, you know, Nintendo released Gameboy games on the virtual console.
Since October 26, 2012, North American Virtual Console releases have been:
Kirby's Star Stacker (GB) on January 17 2013 (lol this came out today? wtf?)
Wario Land II (GBC) on December 20 2012
AND THAT'S IT
Brought this up in another thread:
It's pathetic.
No.I wanna see something of real substance pronto. You mean 2 years from now if they released everything you wanted, it will have been too late, because it passed your "break time?"
YoshiYeah.

DKCR had cinematic cut scenes.Cinematic cutscenes + Yoshi?
...No.
You can do one of two things:
-Attract lots of eager indie developers to your platform
or
-Release quality Virtual Console games at a brisk pace.
You cannot successfully do both.
Yeah.

okay so going by what has been discussed over the last few pages the following is looking likely
- Retro's game shown, either Metroid or Zelda.
- Monolith's project, which is a next gen remake of Mother.
- Resident Evil 2 remake.
- GCN virtual console running at HD resolution, plus GamePad support.
- Temporary GTAV exclusivity.
Yeah.

I want to see more 1st party developed eShop titles for 3DS and WiiU. Though other devs are bringing in the heat on that end too. I definitely can't wait to see if Nintendo talks about releasing an original eShop title for WiiU.

TEMPORARY GTAV EXCLUSIVITY?
I DON'T EVEN.
HOW?
These are what I expect, the rest are just too good to be true

Calling Yoshi's Land.
Likewise. Whether it's by Good Feel, Retro or Nintendo themselves, it'd be a welcome thing to hold me over until "3D Mario" comes.
Any Platinum-related love would also be nice...
Iwata said this Nintendo Direct is going to be special in a tweet, and confirmed it's going to be about "what kind of Wii U titles and services Nintendo is developing." http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=46756048&postcount=675
