Yeah, but it took a pretty massive fan campaign to do it after NoA said they weren't gonna do it. I'd rather not put up with that bullshit again.

That's all to say he has no range. Which isn't true in the slightest.
I'm on my phone so I can't bring examples atm but much of Ao no Exorcist alone was more than bombastic.
After how uppity people got when they had "no plans to bring Xenoblade over", it's almost guaranteed it'll come over.

My point exactly, also if some of the characters are returning from xenoblade it would also be nice to have the same voice actors back.

It is. I think it's a gamestop exclusive but I remember it going oop with a recent restock. I should probably try to get a copy while its not too expensive.
Anyone know if you can play it with the regular Wii U controller on a Wii U or do you have to have the Wii Mote?
He has about as much range as Kajiura though. They're both capable of doing stuff that's a bit "different" but their forte is very clear. If that's the reason the composer is chosen, that's the sort of music we're going to get. I think the trailer makes it pretty clear too!

Japanese games do tend to have a drier, more earthy tone to them. I find it very appealing.
Agreed. ACE+ composed most of my favourite songs in Xenoblade - I hope they return.

this is a perfect representation of my reaction right now.
Well, it's just being vaguely announced now, so in game dev speak that usually means next year. We might get lucky and it'll hit in fall, but even so, that's Japan. Who knows when it'll make it to the west.

Was there anything specifically stated (i.e. explicitly 'this is a sequel to Xenoblade')? If not, there still lies a small chance for this to be more in the vein of gears/saga rather than Chronicles. If so, I'll be a happy person.

True, im hoping Nintendo's simultaneous release attitude towards Pokemon X and Y spreads to this as well.
Waiting for Xenoblade to release in Europe was not a fun experience.

It all depends on what your definition of next gen is. Its an 8th console generation game, that is undeniable.

Honne probably did design for this too though. Personally, I'll rather Honne work on a platform where it is more practical for them to use 2D graphics. 2D RPGs are a dying artform on consoles. There's a much better chance of Honne's game having hand painted style backgrounds if it's on the 3DS. Like how Bravely Default looks.

It is also very similar to the X in Xenoblade but with a second brush stroke at the bottom instead of just the one.
I would bet on it either being a new entry in the overall Xeno brand or xenoblade 2
