Doesn't really surprise me since Black Ops 2 hit the Wii U. I say we welcome these titles over to the console. The more the merrier.

I think it is most definitely certain that there will be versions on current gen, considering install base. If that is the case a wii u version wouldn't be out of the cards.

So I'm guessing the wiiU version will have a lot of the limitations that the PS360 version of BF3 had compared to PC. Better than nothing if it's the only console you own though.

yes probabaly. Off tv play bf4 would be pretty sweet. And maybe the definitive current gen version?

probably retail error or maybe it will be on current and next gen. that way EA can easily down port the 360/ps3 version to wiiU.


Edit: it makes me sad that there will be current gen versions. Bf3 PC suffered due to all the limitations consoles brought. Now next gen is right around the corner and they're neutering the game again.

it has to be on both the consoles. they aren't going to let their sales momentum slide. anyone predicting orbis/durango/PC exclusive is dreaming big time. makes no business sense.

I wouldn't be too surprised either, popular games and all. Just seems like an attention scam/ money "laundering" at the moment though..

wasnt ps3/360 versions listed in those chinese forum rumors? And werent those rumors turning out to be more or less possible true?

Again, I would be really surprised if there are no current gen versions of BF4, considering install base.

It's a Chilean store which i sometimes buy stuff from, they are expensive compared to the other national stores but they sell all kinds of weird stuff. So fucking crazy seeing them mentioned on gaf.

The Wii U could benefit from this. I wouldn't be surprised if this was true. There seemed to be a lot of pressure after they showed a clip of BF3 at E3. EA needs to make good on that unprecedented support nonsense.

BF3 looked and ran great. I don't see how it suffered at all. The stuff that got blamed on the consoles (like no commander mode) were just design decisions that people didn't agree with.

Too be fare, all console versions will most likely be scaled down compared to the PC version, unless they make the PC version on par with the PS4/720 version.

Wii U has alot more RAM to work with though. So much so, it can do 64 players apparently.

According to our sources, the Battlefield 4 team is now working on the Battlefield 4 Wii U version concurrently with other editions and will be a “straight port” with touchscreen controls. Most of these touchscreen controls and features are said to be available on other platforms as well (Xbox 360 SmartGlass etc.). It’s unknown whether the team is also working on next gen systems. Our source also told us that the Battlefield 4 name is not final and might change in the future.

Battlefield 4 is expected to launch in Fall 2013, with a beta release sometime in the Spring.

I don't know if this means anything but BF3 performance on PC is almost completely GPU dependent. No difference between a stock Phenom II X4 and an overclocked i7 with the same GPU.

???, I already mentioned the Chinese blog rumors earlier in this thread. also not sure how this can outright be labeled as wrong info?(other than just being more rumors) This seems to be from before those blog rumors.

IIRC, the Chines blog rumors made no mention of WiiU
