i cant shake off the feeling, i will get deeply disappointed...in terms of a "classical" gamer (not a DLC user, doesnt play F2P, doesnt use microtransactions, hates patches, doesnt care for trophies, multiplayer sessions likely non existent)

Forget next-gen then. You must have really hated THIS gen.

I went through this phase for a couple of years. Take the money you would spend on next-gen and keep an eye on Craigslist and build yourself a nice classic gaming set-up. It took me a few months of browsing and haggling, but got myself a NES, SNES, N64, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, original Phat PS2, and around the 10 best games on each one of them. Also got on YouTube and watched vids on how to take each system apart, and the controllers, clean and refurbish them to shiny almost brand new condition. Glad i did the cleaning. The Genesis had dead fucking cockroaches in it.

I'm through that phase now, and fully ready for next-gen.

Eh, I have similar preferences to him and I have been relatively content. I just don't bother with all the extras.

Ok, so serious prediction time, as we have around 5 days left.

This is pretty much what I expect to see:

- Opening sales talk, graphs, 10 minutes of crap no one really cares about. Aside from the investors in attendance.

- Talk about innovation and the industry changing, leads into the unveiling of the PS4. Console and controller shown on stage.

- Tech talk, in very non specific terms, to outline what the system is capable of. Eg. Motion control, social features, high end graphics.

- A look at the interface (especially if it has changed from XMB).

- A look at the touch pad controller and camera for motion tracking.

Now game announcements and showings.

- First game demonstration. Evolution Studios new IP.
- Announcement - EA - Battlefield 4 on PS4 with trailer.
- Tech demo from Kojima of Fox Engine running on PS4.
- Announcement - UBI - Watch Dogs on PS4. Trailer.
- Tech demo Square Enix. Luminous Engine on PS4.
- Final game demonstration. Guerrilla Games (KZ4 or new IP)

Presentation wraps up with a bunch of other 10-15 second game clips in a sizzle reel. Sony announce that price and release date will be disclosed at a later date.

That sounds pretty realistic. I think it will end up being something like that.
