Very few people are actually so loyal to their characters that they'd pick them even though they are almost so much worse than the rest of the cast that they're unplayable.

I love playing UMvC3 Hsien-ko but damn don't I feel like I'd do far better just going for Wolvakuma.

I do think Elena is fine in SFxT and would rather appreciate different types of characters. She's pretty unique in the series.

The game was the only one relegated to fridays IIRC on both occasions it was there, that made it harder for people to set time aside for it, especially if they had jobs.

By the time EVO came around, it stomped all over every other fighting game running at MLG, so I figured they could have tried to reshedule it at least on the 2nd attempt, instead of giving it a deathbed schedule.

There's a bigger problem in that the American audience for KOF just isn't there. Not trying to crap on the game- I like it- but it's IP is problematic because people aren't familiar with it.
