I honestly enjoy the fuckkery of shippin wars way too much, them and the Shinn vs Kira war back when Destiny aired were just too fun. It does add a fondness to the anime in question, well as long as you were on the right side I suppose.

I regret being absent from anime when KGNE aired though

Nice to see some love for Suite. I have to say it is musically compelling and I will likely enjoy it a lot.

Gushing aside, it had its share of flaws, but I was generally able to overlook them because of the kind of show it was. I'm expecting Heartcatch (and possibly Smile) to be even better.

Death Billiards is excellent. Arve Rezzle is "modern anime" in 25 minutes (and not a very good version of it). I haven't seen Ryo, but all signs point to badness.

Gonzo's Ryo was pretty :Gonzo. (and shit) Madhouse's Death Billiards is meant to be good but I haven't seen it. As for the last one it's meant to be pretty meh too.

Probably because it's not really a mech show! I think people really need to watch it to understand that it's not a "mecha show" but a "show with some mecha in it". The way the weapon system is designed on Chamber makes it improbable that there will ever be any interesting "mecha action". I expect most of the actual action in the show to be character based.

Murata also has a hard-on for strange scifi wing devices. He used a lot of those in FMA Milos, and its back in Gargantia too. The delivery girls use these DaVinci fliers to get around between ships, and the pirates also use this hilarious cable+wingsuit+propeller thing to attack ships. Reminded me A LOT of the Milos scenes with the rebels. Lol.
