The fact that there's two separate instances where a character literally freezes in place on screen is bizarre. Either they didn't notice, which smacks of a rushed production, or they did it deliberately which wouldn't make much sense.

Then again, it's hard for me to work out which of the many unique aspects of the production look that way because they wanted them to look that way or because they had no other choice. For instance, the fact that characters faces aren't filled in might be a deliberate decision to make the series unsettling. Or not. Nothing about the direction "feels" accidental, quite the opposite, it all seems extremely deliberate and controlled. Hmm.

Well if everything was made on purpose ..they sure nailed teh perfect way to make me go.i dunno who they were trying to appeal to ..but it was certainly not to me.

I like how a dot can signify a second season.

I feel many of the character relationships have degraded into their undeveloped disposition again. Which is a pity because now they have to get redeveloped again before we can move on, which is all a big amount of time wasted.

Nevertheless, this is the show to watch this season, simply because it's the one show everybody will probably be talking about.

Well, as everywhere else they have their own prestigious experts... but as always money calls for talent drain towards more "potent" sectors, just like Kojima Productions can afford the assistance for their engine's assets ideal lighting model of Mitsuo Shindō's (http://www.snd320.net/) collaborators like Yoshiharu Nishiyama.

Why they have to call Americans, though? We have plenty technicians here! Situations of exclusion like this is why people I've heard express themselves on this matter yearn for 'the Łódź declaration' to comply, because over-protectionism appears nowadays like the only way of sustenance coming out of the less competitive environments like the created by "Levy's" on cinematographers industries like the actual French or Spanish ones.

These 2 years have really made me forget how much I fuckin HATE Kirino.

Man, do I really have to watch another season of this? I feel like the reason I did in the first place was because of how funny the reactions in the icecream thread were, but now it's just painful. But at the same time, I want to see where this goes and there are some entertaining/likable characters even if Kirino overshadows them all. So conflicted :/

I gather that Trigger are looking at ways to further exploit the production, particularly overseas, but I can't remember anything specific having been talked about beyond TV broadcasts and the limited quantity release.

I still feel like an outlier when I see something like that and acknowledge it's pandering but also accept it's being used to define the rift in the relationship. Content didn't make me uncomfortable as the interaction wasn't totally without value but I suppose it could have been handled more tastefully.

It's sort of like the first season where I thought the incest stuff was just a hook to get people before the otaku shaming started.

It stood out to me because the first season never went all the way to show something as risqué as little naked girl bodies, careful censoring aside. Almost all the incest pandering visuals are always off-screen or just implied, never actually put in the face of the viewer.

I just remembered the scene with Kyou falling on top of Kirino. NEVER MIND

A little suprise for me ..i went in without expectations and the first episode was kinda nice.
It was a good first episode in a intresting setting ..now it's clear the 3 girls will form a team but it was intresting to see how they met.

I sort of wonder if the censoring made it worse? Usually there's a sense of innocence in scenes like that. Angle of the shots didn't really help either.

As for the other part, that was the first ep or so of the first season I thought and it moved away from that after, I thought. I don't know, just seems like I'm watching it for the 'wrong' reasons!

Damn, this was a great episode. From the greater focus on the Zion forces, to the internal drama in the 08th MS Team to the fight in the end, all was good and the pacing was very very well done too. Hopefully it says at least this good to the end.

Maybe (and this thought terrifies me) the sexualisation of middle and high schoolers in anime is so ubiquitous I'm more willing to turn a blind eye to it, whereas little Kirino-chan crossed the borderline?

Some people liked it. Other people saw it for what it was. Others still remained skeptical and bared with it. They were the most unfortunate.

Seems like a lot of effort to make the subject matter appear classier than it actually is. Presentation wise its quite good, and so is the music for that matter, but inevitably you are reminded that the dude is essentially joining a club with the ethics of TMZ. I do have some interest in seeing how they play out the photography angle with the personal drama though.

After seeing this I can see where the hate is coming from (or rather by the way things seem to be going) but I have to disagree. Still good.
I am further conflicted about waifu rankings now. Aina would be the obvious choice but the other two are not bad at all. Hmmmm

OH NO FELDT IS EMO FOR SETSUNA. How is this girl not a Lacus clone? Wait, how has Setsuna changed, exactly? His character has not developed or changed at all. Unless he doesn't say GUH NDUM anymore. Oh and now Ms. Sumeragi is shipping Lacus and Setsuna? Pshaw, we all now Setsuna and PMI! are doomed to be together forever anyway. And man, what a step down from Lockon 1 to Robot Boy.

Patrick Coulisour is the only good thing left in this continuity. OOOOoooookay, the most likely explanation is that an alien metal entity absorbed and assumed control of a mass produced androgynous cyborg innovadetor, took the ship to earth, and then tried to strangle the psychotic, former inexplicably ace mecha pilot girlfriend because she had quantum time brain waves that ticked her as a target.

I'd say Setsuna having NewType flashes is the least problematic part of this whole thing, except that Setsuna has never done anything without special powers.
