How come this never gets old? I don't think I could ever really get back into playing this game again, but I still enjoy watching Sig go at it.

for a lot of reasons that all work harmoniously. the potential for natural drama is so great and happens so fast. think of how high the highs are when sig is on a great run, and how brutally fast the whole thing can come crashing down. as he collects more and more stars the stakes get higher and higher too. add in the insanity and hype of thousands of people watching and chatting simulatenously, and the whole experience becomes captivating

I think what also helps is sig is a very mellow, soft-spoken dude. if he were an arrogant douche people wouldn't support him as much.

I would indeed like another Mario game in this style, to be sure.

Sure, but just look at a profesional M64 player like this one and how he chains different moves to generate new ways to reach the goals. Really sublime. I like games like this and super Metroid where the player is empowered to sequence brake with inventive and skillfull use of the tools available. Even withouth the need of game exploiting glitches and bugs.

He was practicing OoT 100% a month or two ago, not sure what happened to that (may have just been a break from SM64). He also used to run Majora's Mask iirc.

Other than those two he tried to practice SMS but the game is just too widely different physics-wise to SM64 that he doesn't want to try running that simultaneously with SM64. A long time ago he said if he got 1:43 he would start practicing/running SMS and stop SM64 but since he hasn't gotten 1:43 he hasn't tried SMS lol.

Even if he did that I wouldn't care. I watch Siglemic more than I have watched TV in the past five years and I pay monthly for fucking TV. I wouldn't be hurt at all because he has ept me so damn entertained. It would suck that he stopped streaming, but he deserves every bit of my money.
