Fire Emblem Awakening |OT2| PAL reinforcements

Huhm... Wyvern Rider then, I guess.
Then Wyvern Lord for Swordbreaker. In case of Wyrmslayer, add 50% Avoid. I mean, it's not like Manaketes need much to be awesome. Consider Lifetaker from Dark Knight, too. The first generation Manaketes are a little lacking in awesome skills.

Should I even leave Nowi/Nah/Panne/Yarne in their animal classes?

Like post-game question.

Taguels, probably not. Manaketes, probably.

Manakete is better than anything else Nowi and Tiki have. Nah could theoretically have a better class depending on who the father is, but Manakete is a good class and there isn't any harm in leaving here in that.

Taguel isn't really as good, Panne makes a great Assassin though, and Yarne (with Vaike as the dad) is an awesome Berserker for me.

I was kind of disappointed by the Laguz/Taguel teasing in Yarne's/Laurent's harvest scramble conversation. The initial convo makes it sound like we'll get some details about the Laguz/Taguel connection (They find several drawings of supposed "Taguels" in the festival, but rabbits aren't there, only the laguz tribers(minus dragons too though)), but the second conversation has nothing to do with that...

Maybe they should add one via DLC at some point...

They won't because not even Olivia's two possible daughters can be dancers (They did make a generic dancer design though which is unused in the game).

I guess it's because they didn't want one dancer dacing to another, getting infinite experience in one turn. They could easily make it so that dancing didn't work on another dancer though, but I don't think they ever tried it before with any units able to give more turns to others, you're always limited to a single one at a time in every FE.

You could do it with a buff mechanic, but they'd have to add buff mechanics to the game.

It would be hard i think, unless it was a PC game. Oh my god a PC version of FE would be the best thing ever.

Chapter 11 (Or was it 12?) was tough, so many enemies kept spawning. If I made one wrong move someone died and then I'd have to restart the whole thing, thank god I'm finally past it.

So... Nowi isn't that bad when she manages to get some levels (though her Strenght growth isn't very good in my playthrough). I'm still pretty disturbed by the perspective of pairing her with Henry (or any male, for that matter). However, her C conversation with Tharja hints to something rather bittersweet. I may have to use her more often and unlock those convos. Still, I'm pretty sure I'm going to ditch her as soon as I get her daughter.

@Diablos54: Hehe. I restarted this chapter at least 15 times when I did it the first time in Hard/Classic. Vicious reinforcements who swarm your team rather quickly if you don't anticipate them, and Olivia or Maribelle who die very quickly if they happen to be in the range of said sneaky reinforcements.

I've just finished chapter 8 and it seems that the challenges and side quests are way harder than the story missions! Is it just me or is that right?

DLCs, Spotpass and skirmishes can have a very fluctuating difficulty, depending on when you tackle them. Sidequests are also kinda hard if you try to do them as soon as you unlock them (also, some sidequests unlocked after chapter 13 can be downright impossible to do when you unlock them).

It's permanent, across all classes, but there is only one in the whole game, plus one as a renown award (the second to last one). So you want to use it wisely.

I wonder if there is some awesome person selling boots with their streetpass character though. Can you do that?

Nope.

Nice, I should use it right away...

...but there's one, so I'll hoard it forever.

Traditionally boots are good on dancer units. +2 movements gives them more movement than non-mounted units and allows them to better keep up with your party and more easily reach the character you want to dance for.

But since you have Galeforce in this game a lot of people don't really care to bother keeping Olivia as a dancer.

Chrom just reached level 15 on Great Lord;

What class should I change him to for a neat skill?

Paladin will give him Aegis for a skill% chance at halving bow/magic damage. Mainly good for magic in his case. Alternatively Great Knight for Dual Guard+ to improve him as a support unit. Works the same as his Dual Strike+ skill, but for guarding.

He doesn't really gain anything from the archer classes. And if you have the DLC for it (Lost Bloodlines 2), Dread Fighter is also a good choice for him. He can make use of both Resistance +10 (since Chrom has terrible res) and Aggressor (10 extra damage on your turn).

Why do you guys call support units bots btw?
It's a term that i think originated in MMOs. A [noun]-bot is a character that does nothing but that often simple action, to the point where it could be automated and no one would know the difference. So... people automated it, making heal-bots and buff-bots of characters that were controlled by an automated program.

Even though actual botting is now against the Terms of Service in a lot of MMOs, the term stuck. A character that does the same menial task over and over to the benefit of others. Hence: Rally-bot. A character specialized in using Rally over and over with few other talents. It makes the rest of the army look better at he cost of itself.

Your Great Lord levels still stand. You can go directly to Great Knight if you want to. There's some math going on behind the scenes, but you won't lose the levels you've gained, ever. Gaining more levels just slowly becomes harder and harder.

Does it mean I only need to level to level 5 Great lord now to get rightious king? And About DLC characters: is it worth it to use them? They are excluded from the support system but start with nice skills.

Oh shit, main character proposed haha. And I've used Master Seals on both him and Tharja. And Chrom and Sumia too. These 4 are going to wreck shit now.

Rightful King always requires Level 15 Great Lord.

DLC characters are typically never as good as what story characters can ever be.

No, you start over at Great Lord 1. Any Seal sets you to level 1 in that class, but all stat-ups and skills you've gotten will still be there.

Man Chroms fate as a single guy was lame as hell after chapter 10. I was going to pimp avatar with Tharja because she seemed to be so into him. But then I got Anna who is so goddamn sweet. Gotta reserve my avatar to her and maybe combine the polar opposites of Libra and Tharja, muahahahah.

Except as rally bots. Palla + Katarina are better for that than your Awakening bros because of their lack of supports. Otherwise you have to waste Morgan or Morgan's sibling, or to a lesser extent your avatar, for it to be most effective.

Yeah, I have that in mind. I like that Palla and Katarina have access to both Rally Strength + Heart.

Palla and Katarina are DLC characters?

It does seem a little of a waste to use Morgan as a rally bot, especially my Manakete Morgan. Thinking about what skills to let her inherit. If I can get Tiki to Dark Knight 15, Lifetaker would be an easy pick. My Avatar will have Sol and Astra soon, a bit redundant, but either could work for a Manakete. I'll probably do the map before getting Ignis.

DLC characters also get access to Grandmaster and Rally Spectrum, which only the avatar and his/her kids get for the Awakening characters. Katarina doesn't need it since she starts with spectrum (as a Grandmaster though), but Palla can at least access it.

How do the skills get inherited?

Whatever the last active skill is for each parent will get passed down when you enter the child's paralogue. So between the time you get S-rank and the time you finish the paralogue you can still change the skill out.

And you can return to the map and change the skills and go back to it, and it will adjust.

I meant to mention that, yeah.

I remember having originally said that only Katarina has access to every Rally skill, but I'm only just recently realizing that Palla does too, by having Rally Strength.

You don't.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but she's the only Dancer in the entire game.

Maybe they should add one via DLC at some point...

So why do all these young manakete children have to be girls? What is it now, Tiki twice, Fa, Myrrh, Nowi and Nah and... I guess that's it. I guess they're all supposed to be Tiki clones or something.

On my first playthrough, FeMU turned out fairly blah near the end. She was becoming outclassed by nearly everyone. Chrom was fairly meh too.

My beasts turned out to be Donny (Duh), Gerome, Inigo, and surprisingly Ricken.

On my second playthrough I reclassed Panne to Wyvern Knight...

Let's just say... Dat Attack and Defense. Now I am wondering if I should marry her to Donny to get an insane Yarne.

Edit: GODDAMN! Yarne with Panne/Donny+Aptitude and as a Mercenary nearly destroys Inigo's growths. Plus, I think Yarne comes at Lv 10 so instant reclass.
