Yeah, it does seem a bit desperate on their part. Showing a new ip or something would have been better, not some blurry image because they chose not to reveal it in February.

Some comments in this thread are really lol material.

Sony actually showed games in their reveal, they were #1 on youtube after the show and they're #1 in sales worldwide with PS3 so I somehow doubt they're "desperate".

They've got nothing to fear from tomorrow, especially if all those negative rumors about Durango are true. Nobody cares about a plastic case, people care about games and content.

By the way, "new IPs" is exactly what MS should show tomorrow if they want to regain some ground worldwide. People have been waiting for years.

I'm disappointed in VG247 and Pat and the guys there I have to say, I usually browse their site as I like the design and so forth but one thing I noticed today which I found disappointing was there was no hype there leading up to this reveal. Before the PS4 there was editorial pieces and a love letter written by Brenna Hillier about the past two decades of Playstation

http://www.vg247.com/2013/02/07/playstation-4-weve-been-waiting-nearly-two-decades-for-this/

which was a great read I have to say and had me hyped. There is fuck all for Xbox fans/gamers like myself on there.

According to the EU Trademarks & Design Registration Office (OAMI), Microsoft filed a trademark for Xbox Now (without the exclamation mark) in October 2012 - it's stated to be related to ''Audio, video and multimedia broadcasting via the internet.''

I think the rumors of Xbox Next being called Xbox Now! were confused, maybe this is actually a service to rival PS4's Share button, and involves uploading/streaming video clips via the internet - also trademarked around the same time were Xbox Fitness, Xbox Sport, Xbox Music, Xbox Video, and Xbox Games. Microsoft also apparently filed a trademark a week ago for game software called [FUN]ction.

Guess we'll find out tomorrow.
