Final Fantasy Series development status

I guess this could be more implications that Versus isn't Versus anymore and will have a grand re-revealing at some point as something else, which is why they aren't giving any completion percentages for a game called Final Fantasy Versus XIII anymore.

I never actually believed they'd mention FFvXIII in such a report, but it still hurts to see it missing from the list... ;_;
E3 is my last hope.

I'm pretty sure we'll see Versus at E3.

My thoughts as well.

FF Versus: Dead.
FFXV: 70%!

I get the feeling the reason FFX-2 HD is taking so long is because of possible localization efforts for Last Mission. Not like it was hard for them to get the voice actors back for Dissidia.

Although that might be possible, they're dealing with 2 versions, PS3 and Vita, so there's still a fair amount of work to be done.

I'm sure Versus XIII is 167% complete and now they have to get it down to 100% which is why it's taking so long since doing things in reverse is highly complex.

I can't wait for LR:XIII and X HD.

Square has done some idiotic things lately but ill glady throw dosh at them for those two titles

I'm not sure why they'd release these percentages. They are pretty meaningless without context.

Not surprised to see Versus missing from the list though. If it really is still under development, it probably should have underwent the rumoured name change by now and they are preparing for a re-reveal. They wouldn't put that on such a list.

FF8PC-80%. I don't even know...smh. You know what Square, I am still holding on as a fan, but the winds of disappointment are ever increasing.

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
They probably removed the crappy junction system for FFVIII.

I hope.

I wonder if they'll move onto FFXII as soon as they finish X/X-2? Either way I'm looking forward to the HD version of X. Not that bothered about X-2

It's a Nomura game, so no.
You couldn't be more wrong. Nomura has been a creative & supporting force behind many of Square Enix most enjoyable games in recent years. The likes of TWEWY would never have been what they are today if it wasn't for Nomura. Though this is the opposite end of the hyperbole:

I think you mean yes. Nomura is the only person left at SE that knows good game design.
This ain't true either. While Nomura has had creative input in many games or has pushed for certain projects to become a reality, they've still been directed & created by other talented individuals as well. And there are games Nomura has nothing to do with that have been good.

nomura will be on another radio podcast at the end of may (which is like very soon I guess)

Maybe we will get some news.

It's still worlds better than FF2...ugh. I loved the Junction system until Ultemecia screwed me over...=/

Shouldn't take long to drop in price. I'm pretty sure Gamestop (or at least the one in my area) dropped the price on 13-2 within a month and a half. History has a way of repeating itself.

Sounds good, I can wait.
