I think they ended with Smash...and the guy asking before X is from the guys that did Xenoblade,it's open world JRPG,not turn based but like Monster hunter,except faster hehe...

This makes me think of a student that's been failing throughout the year, and needs to put in a really good final exam to pass the course, but only manages a B-.
Retro's game being another DKC is pretty disappointing. No surprise game announcements. New Mario game is a sequel to SM3DL. Perhaps more titles will be announced at later E3 events, but I'm not holding out hope. X looked good, though.

This is probably the worst shape I have ever seen Nintendo in. I didn't have my hopes up as I don't have a WiiU but I'm still a Nintendo fan and I was ready for them to blow my socks off.
We've got a remake of a middling Zelda game that looks no different from the original, an incredibly safe 3D Mario, Smash Bros Brawl ft Mega Man, a DKCR sequel from Retro when we were all secretly hoping for a realistic Star Fox/F Zero mashup
, and Mario Kart for Australians.
It inspired nothing in me.

So, Bayo has short hair, X looked interesting, even Mega Man won't get me to enjoy Smash Bros, and no WiiU price drop. Is that basically the gist of it?

I don't agree with you often but that's an awful successor to the Galaxy games. Maybe sometime later this gen it would have made sense to expand 3D Land but the Wii U needed something mind-blowing and that wasn't it.
Seriously this was a far worse presentation than I could have imagined. The 3rd party reel was especially embarrassing :/

I now believe Nintendo is off in their own world and either does not understand how to compete or does not want to compete.
They needed a long list of megatons, amazing new IPs, amazing new IPs based on old IPs, installments in all the exciting franchises (metroid, zelda), they needed it all, and all we got were things we knew about. Mario games are nice, but... Cmon. There has to be more than that.

An expected showing, of course, but can't help feeling slightly underwhelmed. I guess there was a reason they didn't have a show at E3 this year.
THAT was really the 3D Mario?!? What a massive anti-climax... just... SMFH.
Was really hoping Ninty would knock it out the park and give me a solid reason to grab a WiiU as a second console. I honestly have no idea what they're doing any more. Genuinely bummed at how utterly underwhelming that was. (personally anyway)

I'm pretty let down. The new 3D Mario is just a retread of the 3DS one. The new Retro game is just a retread of the Wii Donkey Kong.
X blew my mind, but I'm not buying a system for one game. I don't see myself owning a WiiU any time soon.

Is that it? I missed half the stream and the other half was ridiculously bad quality but I have to say I'm really disappointed. The only new game I saw was Donkey Kong? Sorry but I want new IP's and/or new experiences.
I'll need to watch it again as I know I missed stuff but it still seems like the Wii U software lineup is weak. I still don't understand what all their studio's have been doing.

Bayonetta and X look exceptional. The others are expected, but nothing really unexpected (aside from maybe Retro working on ANOTHER Donkey Kong.)

Seriously What was that? Does Nintendo not realize they're gonna be the only one supporting this console. That's all they had for the rest of the year? I'm just shocked that that's all they had to show after all this time. What the hell are their developers doing?
Say what you want about all the conferences that happened yesterday, yeah they were mostly shooters but at least all four of them had some surprises and New IPs. Have they just given up? and I don't think I saw COD in that paltry 3rd party highlight. I wasn't expecting that much but they seriously dug deep and found a way to shit the bed. Megaman was cool though and I can't help but be sad that Retro is just working on Donkey Kong. No wonder most of the talent at the studio keeps leaving.

Man, I barely saw anything because the stream was fuxxed to the point that the flash plugin would sometimes freeze for a while (Opera) or crash entirely (Firefox). Plus neogaf had melted down, as usual.

What little I saw didn't really blow my mind. They had... nothing. OK, hyperbole. They barely had anything. worthwhile. for 2013.

Ugh. I am utterly depressed. Like seriously. The stream quality just crushed my enthusiasm and the then seeing that they opened with seven minutes of Pokemon? Then when the stream popped back in I saw what looked like a new 3D Mario for 3DS. I was pleasantly surprised by the four player elements. And then I saw it was for Wii U. A really dark blanket just fell over me. This is what I have to look forward to on this system for the next six months? Christ.
Mario Kart...looked like Mario Kart. I guess I shouldn't have expected a true evolution of the series. And then the thing that really crushed me- as a huge fan-Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze. Oh jesus. A game that should have come out on the Wii when the well went dry. This is not what we asked for Nintendo. Holy christ.Reggie must be on his way out if they thought suit Iwata would suffice.
I can only guess they did this direct thing since the news was so disappointing. The few rehash sequels they had are all delayed and everything interesting is 2014. What the hell is going to be at their booth? Wind waker remake?
