I live in Belize where it won't be available. So even if I wanted to buy one, I still wouldn't be able to play it, lol.

I wonder if publishing partners know about this in advance before they signed any exclusivity deal. I can't imagine EA be happy about limited availability of the console worldwide, as well as the high price compared to competition.

Luxembourg and Iceland are two very small countries if you look at the population numbers (about 3-500k people), which is probably why they aren't on the list of "accepted" Xbox countries.

So: If we don't count Russia (which apparently is such a large market that it needs Xbox One),
then the 14 European countries on Microsoft's list are the 14 countries with the highest per capita GDP.

Microsoft is only making its console available in the richest countries in Europe.

i feel like i'm in a bad dream, and i've never liked MS in the console space, except for Xbox and project gotham racing.
this is coming from someone that's making a nice career and making good money from MS products in the server space.

Actually Luxembourg is at 500k+ people now :)

Well it's still stupid. Now this will mean that over here even more people will buy PS4 and forget about Xbox. Most people in Luxembourg are buying PS3's and their CoDs and Fifas annually anyways. Now they lost their chance for this gen.

Yeah, I love me some Microsoft. I make my living programming largely in .NET. Love love love me some Microsoft.

But Microsoft and gaming is proving to be a toxic combination.

I'm really glad for that. I don't want my animu games to be exclusive to a system I would never even consider buying. Not launching until an undisclosed date pretty much seals the deal for any Japanese support the console could have hoped for.

Right now on 360 I can purchase let's say any game from GOD store on my US account, but I cannot download it in Poland (even if they are available on Polish GOD store).

I think this disclaimer pretty much sums up that Microsoft has given up on trying to compete in the console market and are trying something completely different with this machine. It has to be. A living room machine that happens to play games
