No one seemed to have played Panther on the C64. Huh.

Played! Great game. I think Midwinter was around that time, right?

Played and completed. Skidoos for the win!

Okay, how about this?
Midwinter yep.
Star Raiders! Oh yeah this was frantic. Coming out of Hyperspace and sirens going off. A lot of fun.

Coveni 200X - a Xbox 360 NTSC-J only Convenience Store Simulation.

Also Petanque Master for the Wii, which I assume is only available in France.

Oh, and a few Gizmondo titles - how about Fathammer Classics?

Obscure (but pretty cool) Dreamcast puzzle game 'Golem no Maigo', or 'The Lost Golem', which was made by a bunch of university students and had a very small release;

Wonderful epic SRPG for the Saturn that featured a beautiful medieval Europe style but, regrettably, was never released outside of Japan;

Beautiful 2d adventure game by Enix for the Saturn called 'Nanatsu Kaze no Shima Monogatari', or 'Tales of the Seven Wind Islands;

'Chaos Seed', a weird hybrid JRPG that plays kinda like Dungeon Keeper. Here's a nice run-down of the game from HG101; http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/chaosseed/chaosseed.htm

Finally, 'Wrath of the Gods', a educational point & click adventure game with digitized sprites that recreates various stories from Greek mythology;

I'll be very surprised if anyone's played that last one. Here's a trailer for it; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSb6VstOyv4

Skunny Kart and Wacky Wheels.

Played these all day long as a kid, didn't know about SMK back then and had no idea they were ripoffs. Only realized it last year when I found them again.

Skunny Kart, nope. Wacky Wheels, yes.

Skunny Kart looks quite a bit like Wacky Wheels. I loved Wacky Wheels, again apogee games were quite popular back in the day. Shareware made sure many people got a taste of these games even if they never owned a licensed version.

The jumping in the Final chapter make me never want to remember this game.....EVER. I don't remember getting more angry at a game before.

Haha - yeah that was the shittiest part of the game. But depending on the Parallel you were playing it was more easy as far as I remember.

Well i could add Last Rebellion..
it's a game that I hope as few as possible fellow gaffers had the (dis)pleasure to try..
worthy of the kuso-game award indeed...

I was kind of interested in this at the time because I'd enjoyed both the Wonder Project games and this was supposedly by (some of?) the same staff. But I never wound up getting it.

Can I ask what system did you play Star Raiders on? I played it on the 800.

Atari 5200. Looked like this. Our first home computer though was the 400 with that crazy cartridge lid that popped open like a Delorean door :)

My father was big into this on our Atari 800.
He had a motorcycle helmet with a speaker in it that he plugged the audio into so he would have a "flight helmet" for immersion.
I played it some later when I got older.

That's a genius idea!

...or the impossibly hard...

I was later told by one of the developers that this sold less than 250 copies. I'd be very surprised if anyone else has played it.

I've played it! On display in a shop in Norway, PS1 early days (1995-ish). I remember reading about it in a official PS1 leaflet, saying "it does for fps games, what wipEout did for racing games" Whatever that meant!

It was by Psygnosis and some of the same team as Wipeout. The game wasn't bad, just incredibly boring.

I happen to have these lying around so took photos. All for Atari 8-bit.
I think they were fairly major at the time though.

Mattel Intellivision, my console from the youth (early 80's)

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Treasure of Tarmin

Oh man what a game, mother of all dungeon crawlers.

Wikipages for the AD&D:ToT

Spend hours after hours with my friend playing this game. Being roughly 10 years old, the scream what we did when some highlevel enemy attacked behind (after descending to next level).
Someone plix code this to HD grafs... (Or is it then Skyrim?)

Did anyone ever play Booty on the C64? It was a lovely little platform puzzle game. I still find myself humming the music from time to time.

I have been avoiding this thread because I can't think of a game that fits the criteria. Then I remembered when I saw my GBA. Kao the Kangaroo. The game was free when I first got a Gameboy Advance. I had nothing to play at that time except for that and Oracle of Ages. But then, the game grew to me and loved it. Its actually kind of a cool platformer too.

I've played the first two you mentioned. God damn, the graphics in TFX were damn good for its time. Can't remember the story of Operation Stealth, though i know i've played it. I think i may have been too young to understand the story at the time, but i think i enjoyed quite a bit anyway. Maybe it's time to download it again and have a nostalgia trip.

Yeah, it blew my mind. You could look around the cockpit, if I recall correctly.

EDIT: Download it from where...? I want it! Spoiler alert: I particularly remember the cool trick cigarette that was only ever useful at the end. Awesome game. :)
