Well...im certainly in the wait and see....hype went from "HOLY CRAP IS THAT CG?!" to "You could probably do that on a PS3"

You guys making early proclamations about the visuals should definitely wait for a more complete, uncompressed trailer and not like, ya know, 2 second flashes. I mean I doubt any game will look like Deep Down did in its trailer (as a complete package), but I definitely am not particularly concerned with how the game looks in those flashes.

I agree. I bet it will look way better at TGS.

I like the fire "fluid" animation showcase in the OP. Fire blasts have had very little interaction with the actual world geometry in past games.

That's the kind of realistic simulation I want to see from more powerful hardware.

Now the games availability will depend on its success - if it does badly, they'll take the servers down, and you can't play it. If it does well, you can play it, but only until it does badly.

Online only is terrible for games - it "works" if it happens to be a game that a lot of people like, and is supported well, like World of Warcraft, but that's rare, and is completely different from this, since this is on consoles, and probably not a fully fledged MMO. If the graphics are any indication, it'll probably have a staggering budget, and since MMO's also require monthly patches, it'll likely require some sort of subscription fee -- which means that it would cost an extreme amount of money and require tons of players.

But MMO's, or games that have servers with thousands of players, don't have physics (In regards to enemies.) like shown in the trailers for a reason - bandwith, internet speeds, etc.

The internet part will probably be limited to some sort of multiplayer lobby, and work like Diablo 3 - which would mean that the internet part isn't really necessary, and it should have an offline modus as well.

I don't believe I know the term "Reading-RPG." Does it just mean a story-driven RPG, therefore a lot of reading? Or is there something else to it?

The first demo was a target render. This is likely from an incredibly early build of the actual game. Of course there's going to be a visual downgrade.

Looks like a moblin somewhat it's cute.

Yep, it's what I wanted to point out, there's a lot of detail lost to the blur and video compression.

I really hope it's a fully online co-op game. Fuck yeah, so pumped for that.

You cant defend the character design of that one thing (and shouldn't--it looks hilarious) but its not too far fetched to say that the visuals are not being represented by whats in the trailer.

The lighting is getting mostly flashed out.
Its really blurry--destroying the details in the skin.
And the compression looks to be taking a toll on the midtones on the character models.

If I am understanding correctly, this game is made by COG (iOS/Android developer) and not the main JPN Capcom team right?


Don't know what to expect from this :/

I will save my judgement for TGS. I want to see what the game really looks like besides some flashes of unfinished textures. People are jumping to conclusions, at least wait until we get direct feed until you hate on the game.
