Benelux, Scandinavia and Russia get shafted. This is fucking insane.

MS is boycotting Russia based on the gay rights issue, that's why.

You gotta crush the discrimination wall if you wanna see the titans fall.

That's a shame, sucks if you live in one of those countries and had a pre-order down. The free game is a nice gesture but that wouldn't fix it for me if this affected the UK.

What the heck? First they drop Poland, the home of the Witcher devs. Then they drop Finland, the home of Quantum Break. Microsoft sure appreciates European fans and developer creativity.

So, what percentage of sales usally come from those countries? As in, sale wise, how big of an impact will this potentially be?

All these "I'll go PS4 then" posts. Do we know if Sony is potentially doing the same? I wouldn't think any consumer electronics device would launch in every single country around the world at once. Someone will always be left out right? Isn't this the way Apple does it? 15 or so up front, then the rest later?

Wow, what a damn shame. Microsoft is not doing too well with this launch. Maybe yield issues are true after all.

Oh my. We all know how hard it is to import something within the EU. I hope I can manage to sneak one across the German/Dutch border without the guards noticing. Then again...why would I want to buy one in the first place.

Sony has never given any indication of NOT having a worldwide launch at this point.

I would try to be outraged.... but steam and GTA5 are going to tide me over real nice. hopefully one of PS4 or Xbox gets all scared at low sales and does early discounts 2014 in NL. Or I'll pick up pikmin and a wii U for even cheaper that would be nice.

Few questions:

1. With no region locking, can't people in those countries still get the console if they order cross-border?

2. If you are Sony unless you are expecting to have more consoles ready by a significant margin, do you get concerned that you are spreading too thin across the market?

Wow. WiiU is tanking in Europe and Xbox One won't launch in some European countries in 2013.

Your move Sony - you can dominate Europe if you play this right.
