Developers that have never made a "bad game"

I feel like some of the best developers out there have lost their A-game this generation. I'm sure many people could argue about BioWare and Dragon Age II or Blizzard and Diablo 3, but luckily there are still devs out there who haven't made a single bad game. Of course, this differs for people. I didn't like Uncharted 3 as much as the second game for example, but that doesn't make Uncharted 3 a bad game.

What's your selection of devs that have never made a bad game?

Mine are probably:

CD Projekt RED
Naughty Dog
Platinum Games

Blizzard. Diablo III was one of the best games of last year, the fucked up endgame and the fact that it wasn't as good as Diablo II did not change that.

That has the slight chance of changing once Super Mario 3D World comes out, but so far everything they've worked on has been great.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
Platinum, easy mode answer. Quality varies but none of their games are "bad", including MadWorld, and certainly not Anarchy Reigns.

Naughty Dog don't qualify, because they made Jak II. It's decent, but still pretty lacking, especially compared to the other games in the series.

I won't say there are no bad Nintendo games, but the majority are great IMO, and that is impressive considering the sheer volume.

Ok, I'll admit CD Projekt RED has a short list of games. Let's see after TW3 and 2077 :p

Didn't really know ND made WotW but I really like Anarchy Reigns, same for Madworld. Again, a game which isn't isnt as good as their other games does not equal a bad game imho.

Madworld's ok gameplay was saved by an excellent style.

Anarchy Reigns is the one you're looking for.

No worries.

I concede that Anarchy Reigns is debatable (since "bad" is such a subjective term). There's a small cult following here. I hold Platinum in high regards, and this is not something someone can really decide for other people, anyway.


I was thinking of Bullfrog or FASA, but they also had their misses.

Oh, and Retro. Four titles under their belt, all great, two of which are among the best games Nintendo has ever published.

Ah, yes, Portable Ops was the one.

One of the worst games I played on my PSP. I've heard Peace Walker is really good, but I didn't give it a shot.
