I hate that there is no PC version formally announced. Who know's when that will be released and if I'm getting GTAV, its going to be that version.

That game was riddled with problems from the get go, no need for hindsight to see that. It was the moment when I realized without the shadow of a doubt that I couldn't really trust reviews to gauge whether a game is worth buying or not.
It looks like Rockstar has learned from their mistakes though (and they already proved that with RDR). Pumped for GTA V. Reviews are gonna be glowing of course.

They need to get a clue - I've read so many Polygon reviews where the score comes completely out of the blue compared to what was presented in the text.

More like 1-7 most of the time, really,. 9 is as near as a perfect score a game would get from them.
Last 9 I remember seeing on GK was that re-release of Radiant Silvergun, I guess.
GTA IV got 8.

Maybe they´ll do a separate review if they think it´s worth it.

Will the lack of GTA Online hurt some of those scores? I remember a good chunk of the press going bonkers about GTA IV's multiplayer.

I think Rockstar is betting on their singleplayer to hold up the reviews.

I haven't really enjoyed a Rockstar-developed game since Vice City. Maybe it's the overwhelming amount of hype tied to each of their games, but I always feel like they underwhelm.
Yet here I am strongly considering a purchase. Even worse, the reviews will probably have a large effect on that decision.

Just checked and they gave it a 9, 8 is for the PC version. Which is weird since they actually acknowledged many of its flaws (disappointing graphics, lack of variety in the missions) and still gave it their maximum score.
Two games for the price of one, baby. It will be reviewed as it's own entity. At least it should.

Should, or delay reviews but they will miss out on hits if they don't review it today. Rockstar couldn't delay it until online was finished. New consoles breathing down their necks.
