My Little Sister Can't Possibly Be In This Fighting Game - Dengeki Bunko

I think we can all agree that Kuroko is the best. And a must.

The good: I can beat the shit out of Kirino
The bad: Technically, when Kirino loses, Kuroneko loses because she's Kirino's assist instead of a full-fledged character.

This isn't fair. ;_;
Second rate character, is nothing more than an assist, like a second rate character should be.

All I pray for is that the game doesnt suck. Since so far its looking to have a pretty varied cast. But if the game is garbage, then well no sense in even buying it regardless of the fan service with the characters involved.
I am confident the game will disappoint. I don't recall these guys ever putting out a cross over game that was actually good.

A fighting game based only on the Raildex universe would be pretty cool.
Doesn't that already exist for the PSP?

Don't care much for Kirino, but happy about Misaka's inclusion.

Joining team Kuroko as well. My favorite Index/Railgun character.

Part of me hopes Kirino turns out to be the Phoenix Wright of the game: a character that absolutely had no fighting abilities, but turns out to actually be rather decent made by moves that aren't actually considered "attacks".

Oh, & she can summon Kyosuke, cuz he needs to be in this somehow.

In my head, I always imagined Touma to have a PW-like playstyle if he was ever in a 2d fighting game. He'd have subpar normals but always have access to Imagine Breaker. Then he can give his usual speeches to the opponent to build up a specific meter, or randomly get some form of misfortune to drop it. When it's maxed out, he can start throwing his wild haymakers that do massive damage. I'm sad that won't happen now.

Pray tell me, what and where is this alternate universe where MvC Phoenix Wright is NOT garbage tier?

If that happens to you, you probably take Cartoons a bit too seriously.

I'm exageratting (obviously) but this is true: the awful last episodes ruined the show for me. Yeah, incredible bad endings can ruin shows.

But this is off-topic so I'll stop now.

There was that Fate/Stay Night fighting game, where when playing as Archer you had to (if I am remembering correctly) say like 3 lines from his UBW chant thingy, in order to actually use the ability. They could do a similar thing with Touma, several lines of sogebu dialogue in order to use a super heavy hit or something. He is a pretty good street fighter on his own though anyway, unlike PW.

If it's any consolation, the light novels pulled it off better. Things feel less sudden and there were lots more scenes and dialogue with hidden meanings here and there. It was more or less the same though for the end, just less vague.

Also the anime made Kirino and Kyousuke worse imo (the latter by removing a majority of his past and inner thoughts).

I so wish this was a thing now.

It was more of the fact that they actually came up with a moveset for a lawyer that you mainly see standing behind a table in court. Imagination wise, they did a pretty good job thinking of ways he could "attack" without actually fighting and making him a fighting game character. As for the fact if he's actually a good character or not tier-wise or whatever, that's completely different & to each their own. My focus was if Capcom could think of a way to make a lawyer playable in a fighting game and be creative about it, Sega could probably do the same for Kirino, both of which show very little fighting skills in their respective media (well, aside from the final episode of Oreimo, but still).

And now, whenever I watch Touma doing his usual speech, I'll imagine he's charging a special meter.

THIS ^.

It would be so awesome seeing Accelerator (w/ LO) fighting Railgun (w/ Touma).

4 of my favourite Index cast members!

(This makes me tempted to play some of the index fighting game now, which is pretty fun despite the models looking a bit rough)

Worst would work better as an assist character over Last Order imo.

Hopefully Kirino is top tier.

System mechanics info and more:

http://shoryuken.com/2013/10/05/mik...hting-climax-four-assist-characters-revealed/

BASIC CONTROLS

The game uses an 8-way joystick and 4 buttons. The buttons are A (Light Attack), B (Medium Attack), C (Heavy Attack) and S (Support). Movement options are dash, backdash and double jump.

BATTLE SYSTEM

Support: S Button calls in support characters. The effect differs by character.

Impact Skill: A unique attack performed with A+B or ↓+A+B. The first hit has a guard point, so the move can be used as a counterattack. Many are also effective as part of combos and can be used like a special move.

Kirifuda (Trump Card): Pressing B+C unleashes a powerful attack that consumes 1 lightning mark. Many of these attacks have invincibility during start-up or function as overheads, so they are very easy to connect and also have high damage. While they primarily are counterattacks, they can also be used as a finisher. Each side starts with 2 lightning marks at the beginning of the battle, regaining 1 mark at the start of a round. The maximum count is 2.

Blast: Pressing A+B+C consumes the Blast icon while activating various effects. When used while taking damage it acts as a combo breaker, but from a normal state it boosts the character’s ability. When used during a combo it launches the opponent straight upwards, allowing for a follow-up as they descend. The Blast icon regenerates after a fixed amount of time.

Extend Action: Performing a normal or special attack and holding the button will change the move. What techniques change varies by character.

Potential: A unique skill possessed by each character. They activate when certain conditions are fulfilled, e.g. “Damage is boosted when health is low”. Each character has a number of hidden conditions.

Climax Gauge: The super gauge. The meter fills when performing actions like attacking and guarding, but also automatically builds when doing nothing at all. Up to 5 bars can be stocked. Other than super attacks, the gauge is used for special attacks such as EX special moves.

EX Special Move: Performing a special move with the S button consumes 1 bar of Climax Gauge while unleashing a more powerful version of the move.

Climax Arts: Super moves, which consume 2 bars of the Climax Gauge when activated. Each character has 2 Climax Arts.

Reflection Guard: Pressing any button during a guard pushes back the opponent while consuming a small amount of the Climax Gauge. Use when pressured by the opponent to create space.

Quick Combination: A combo automatically performed by pressing the A button repeatedly. A → B → C → Impact Skill → (when meter is available) EX special move does a basic combo.

Sounds like a combination of Persona 4 Arena and AquaPazza.

Kirino has an attack that changes her outfit to Kuroneko's.

..........it's the closest thing to Kuroneko being playable, I guess....Though I do like how she has different outfits depending on which attack she performs.

HAHAHHAHA, okay, Kirino's special at the end was actually kind of funny.

Not sure I'd get it, but looks and sounds interesting enough I suppose.
The site says that you're free to choose your support character. Assists aren't locked to certain playable characters.
Ah, this makes me feel much bette--

Second rate character, is nothing more than an assist, like a second rate character should be.
T^T

I mean, where the hell did you expect it to go? Its in the title of the damn show.
I expected it to, at the very least, go to an end where they're married a little longer than 10 seconds before they decide to backpedal and make everything up to that point meaningless. Also not be hella rushed and missing backstory like Rhapsody said.
