Man, release is looking so crazy.

I'm a tad worried about how the meta-game will shift with the center of the tree being blocked. I already know for a fact that my Wander will cease to function since I really need access to Vaal Pact. I'm just going to migrate to Scion and do some pseudo melee/ranged build with Spectral Throw/GMP or LMP and then some of the fancy trigger gems (most likely cast on crit). So even though the center of the tree is pretty much fucked now, the number of build opportunities are massive with all the trigger gems. Shit is about to get crazy.

I also just upgraded my open beta pack to Exalted.

For anyone wondering about jumping in this game, the amount of money that people have given to GGG should be all you need to know about the quality of the game and the development team behind it.

Well Chris said that they're moving keystones around where it make sense. The only people using Vaal's pact is when they have Ghostreaver, so I'm pretty sure it's going top right.

No one in the right mind would use it for Life. Pots are way too important for Life based characters.

Yeah absolutely. I'm a little disappointed they won't be releasing the tree early, but what can ya do. And yeah it's pretty much exclusively used with Ghost Reaver which is what I'm doing. I'm pseudo low-life with Shavronne's and Wander/PowerSiphon. It's a shitload of fun but I kinda wanna try something else now.

Yep, daggers could be awesome with this. But i have some plans for reanimating my Righteous Fire build. Even though they are planning on nerfing Kaoms and its harder to get big life pool now, with all trigger gems it could work [with discharge for example or traps]. It was so fun to play that i'll definitely try it again

I hope spectral weapon (this new summone skill where you only summone a weapon) is good, i could imagine that 5 summoned bows + GMP + Pierce + Knockback could be funny

Other thing i want to try is a Avatar of Fire Char with an AoE Melee Skill, like sweep, and with Detonate Dead+ignite+Elemental Proliferation Trigger on Melee-Hit or Melee-Kill

Or you could just throw the weapon at the monsters and kill them easier. Besides looking cool, I don't see the point of attacking away from the monsters.

It may come off as condescending, but I agree. Hardcore modes add so much to these games. The trade-off is that it rules out certain play-styles or makes them harder to achieve, but it's worth it.

After so much fun I that had during one week turbo race I was seriously considering going Hardcore in 1.0 but I was a bit disappointed with the Nemesis league which seems a bit bland to me comparing to Domination with its shrines. So I'll probably stay in softcore just because of that.

While I'm exclusively hardcore, I don't think you understand how dangerous it's to build a softcore character like that. Hint: you will die a lot and lose enough experience to not be able to progress.

The full release is scheduled for October 23. That's when all the new stuff comes out and the open beta officially ends.

Damn, that's a lot of stuff for 1.0. The Prestige class seem pretty cool and might lead to awesome builds. She's pretty much a blank slate.
I wonder if they might be able to add more Prestige class later on. Classes placed in the outer ring of the tree like a Summoner who start right next to the summoning stuff but is away from everything else.

Yeah its on Steam, i think its just Steam wallet transactions, Achievements and the initial fast download that PoE benefits from on Steam.

Auras did not only get nerfed, they get buffed too. You can cast less Auras but everyone is more usefull

I like changes to boss runs, even though i was never a fan in D2, but EXP formula changes are awesome change in my opinion.
Need more info about Auras, but it could be good.

Aura buff is amazing change.

It annoyed me as hell that i could set up 3-4 auras from start with almost any 5-6 lvl character.

Multiple auras should be specialization build not standard one. Right now almost every class use some aura for high end content. This is especially noticeable when you play with party.

Imo they should reduce aura radius a lot and get few additional aura radius nodes on tree. Maybe keystone ?

Interesting that he says that the 40-55 stretch is where a lot of players tend to stall out. It was in that level range that my first character hit a wall that I needed to use a carefully planned full re-spec to overcome.

Guess I'm not a statistical anomaly in that regard.

That's me as well. I think that's about the point where you find out how much your build actually sucks.
