Uncharted 4 confirmed?

I´m cool with more Uncharted, but please make the game more like UC2 and not UC3.

I thought the first was good, the second great and the third ok. Why only ok, you may ask?

The reason is UC 3 took way too often the controls away from the player and felt more like an interavtive movie than a game.

Gameplay and interactivity comes first. Don`t forget that, ND.

The Last of Us already moved back and gave the player more control again. It still has those only walking moments, but at least most of the controls were available all the time, unlike UC3, were i often - too often - couldn`t aim when i wanted, for example.

I think Uncharted is the perfect game for ND's first PS4 attempt. Hopefully they bring back the jungle setting.

I am up for more Uncharted, looking forward to see what ND will do with PS4!

I am replaying Golden Abyss at the moment and love it, it seems better second time around (appreciate this is Sony Bend)

8/8/2010 Blackace was here
Hope they use TLOU enemy hit reaction system in Uncharted 4 instead of what we got in uncharted 3

Well stocked for this, although I doubt Sony will cloud the ps4 launch with this reveal, it will be shown at year end at the VGA as normal.

I love the uncharted series and cannot wait for this, looking forward to what they have in store but you just know that visually the game will be the new no1 on anything yet seen... The ps4 just keeps on giving!!

Yes, who wouldn't want the fourth entry in the amazing pantheon of mindlessly killing dudes in beautiful vistas with confined linear gameplay segregated by the arbitrary cutscenes?

Disappointing if true, TLoU was a great step forward for them. The things they learned with it could really help Uncharted 4, but I doubt they're gonna divert too much from their established formula. I just really want a new platformer from them, not Jak and Daxter, something new. Knack's really not doing it for me.

Meh, kinda disappointed really. Don't get me wrong, I'll probably be very interested in Uncharted 4 and honestly will probably get it, but uncharted 4 to me feels like quite an over exaggerated series anyway, that combined with wanting to see them do something new (Or at the very least return to Jak at some point!), and imagining ND doing something involving space would be very epic in my mind.

If they do end doing Uncharted 4 anyway, hope theres something new about it...
Or is it... uncharted... in space...? Ha ha

Uncharted 4, TLOU 2, new IP, or all of the above. After their PS3 output, I'm totally onboard for anything Naughty Dog wants to do for next-gen.

God damn at the hate for a new Uncharted. From this thread I gathered.

-People want a new IP revealed despite just getting one a little over 4 months ago.

-People want a sequel to The Last Of Us despite, again, it was the new IP that just came out 4 months ago.

-People not realizing that Uncharted is a highly popular "franchise" and would be the best bet from Naughty Dog to help push some early PS4's.

And most importantly.

-People forgetting that Naughty Dog is a multi-team dev studio now and can easy work on a new Uncharted and new IP at the same time......you know, like they did with Uncharted 3 and The Last Of Us.

I would love to see a new IP from Naughty Dog as well but god damn people, give it more than 4-5 months.

Sure. I am down for more Uncharted once they learn from the mistakes in design and writing from 3.

I think its time to do something a bit different with it though what that is I dont know.

Maybe they could make it way more open like a far cry or crysis or something? Or just go full open world island?

I'm part of the crowd that wants another Uncharted and God of War if anything just to blow my eyeballs on PS4. Then they can do something else.

Uncharted is going to look amazing at 1080p. Hopefully they also push 60fps. Where is that one uncharted3 60fps video? That thing is beautiful.

Chloe too please. ;P
Pretty much, they sex up the women in it, it's only fair we gays or gals get treated a little as well. ;). I only mean for like one scene or an alternative costume, like Dante's in PSASBR.

lol it will never happen but if your that desperate ND did release the 3D model of Nate from U2.
EDIT: Beaten
I ain't desperate xD. Just think it would be a nice treat to see how the developers would handle it.

Not my preferred choice but Uncharted is a fun series and seeing what kind of set pieces they're going to pull is enough to get me.

It's funny how people want to "see something new" from Naughty Dog. "The Last of Us" IS their new IP. New IP's are risky and TLOU was/is their new IP.
So now they have their established IP (Uncharted) and their new IP "TLOU".
You want another "new IP"? No problem -> Check one of the other SCE world-wide-studios out!

Having more Uncharted is not a bad thing at all especially on a brand new platform 3 years after its predecessor. Of course, some people here on Gaf claim Uncharted 3 to be a plague on earth so people still will complain.

In ND we trust.

Uncharted 4 is going to look drop-dead gorgeous on the PS4. It makes perfect sense for Sony to announce it around the same time as the PS4 launch and release it around a year later. Uncharted 4 will make the PS4 sell like hotcakes for sure.

I'm really not all that interested in Uncharted anymore, but you can bet your hat that I'll be buying Uncharted 4.

Was anyone really expecting Sony to let Naughty Dog do two new IPs? They got the latitude to do something like The Last of Us precisely because they are also doing a marquee IP like Uncharted.

Eh, I'd totally be up for another Uncharted, but I was hoping ND would try their hand at a new, full-blown Platformer. It's been so long since they gave us one.

There would be no second team without Uncharted. There would not be The Last of Us without Uncharted. This IP is one of Sony's most valuable.

Naughty Dog is very likely through with platformers. They've moved onto cinematic IPs.

Crash Banditcoot was never owned by Sony or ND. As for Jack and Daxter, maybe successful but the Uncharted series is on a completely different level.
It might not have been owned by Naughty Dog, but the original Crash Bandicoot games were created and developed by Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin who, at the time, worked for Naughty Dog. And there's no denying it, the Naughty Dog games were some of the most successful platform games around at the time. Compared to Uncharted, it's nowhere near as successful, but many people would love to see a new Naughty Dog developed Crash game, myself included.

Naughty Dog has moved to cinematic games. I wouldn't mind a Crash game Co developed between Cerny's Japan Team and Sanzaru. They could go all out with next gen power, especially those big events like a boulder chasing you destroying the level.

If it IS Uncharted I hope they do something to make it feel new. I was very bored by the end of Uncharted 3, and only going through the motions to
save Sully <3
see the ending, which I forgot completely, to be quite honest.
