Really? What possible reason could there be for charging £10 more on PS4/X1 for the same damn game.,.

Because they can. What reason do they have for selling a single area prologue "demo" for 30 pounds in the first place? $$$$$$$$

The cost of running Kojima Productions LA isn't going to pay for itself after all, gotta find more funding! Think of this as a Kickstarter, only via retail! Amirite.

Should it not knock enemies out in 1-hit? I don't see how else they could go about it.

Maybe they can drastically reduce the range?

I don't know, just a thought I've had for years now.

Don't use the tranq. pistol.

Sorry for talking about an obviously broken/OP weapon that has been present for a decade now. Just trying to think about a way to balance it.

Kojima always talked KZ and TPP as two separate games connected with a story.

Now they just need to announce how much content will be it.

Oooft. Pricey.

Will rent the current gen one. £30 is too much for the next gen upgrade.

Konami thinks we're made of money!

Between Kiefer Sutherland voicing Big Boss and the PS4 release being digital-only, Kojima has lost my sale on this one. I'm a huge MGS fan, but I just keep finding it harder and harder to get excited for this release.

Easy, just make the ammo super rare.

It's only one level?

It's one area, with one story mission as far as we know. But based on the interface they've shown at TGS, it'll also have a bunch of optional missions you can launch which takes place in the same area but at different times of day with different objectives.

This is exactly how I expected them to release MGS5, but the price is higher than expected. Lol.

I think this new strategy (not that new, Gran Turismo did that before) will be quite common moving into next-gen with costs rising. S-E itself is planning ways to start making earnings before release a proper title, this prologue-stuff could be what they'll be looking for. As a player I'm rather glad I can play MGS5 so early even if it's just a small chunk of the full ver. ~ it keeps me interested in the long terms. I'd pay the same for having a FFXV Prologue on PS4 someday.

I love Kojima and all but how shitty does he think gamers are? "Guys we are going open world now, buy our $30 demo to get use to the new world!"

Sure, they're plenty of suckers like myself who buy it anyways. But it's funny Kojima is the only dude who can pull this kind of shit. lol

Jeezz £30 for a demo lolfuckoff a full console game cost £40 in here In the uk just let you guys know.

And gaf made huge deal about capcom dead riseing case zero being £5(which was bs) but this is ridiculous charging near full game price.

Damn, I was absolutely convinced that Ground Zeroes would be an integral part of MGSV and not sold separately, even though there was talk about that before.

Still, £29.99 for a "Tanker chapter" feels excessive. I mean, I've played the MGS2 Tanker chapter dozens of times so I'm sure they'll add some replayability and maybe challenges but I still don't like it. Just feels like grabbing some quick cash and spoon feeding small bits of content to fans.

As people already mentioned, GZ will probably be integrated in Phantom Pain anyway.

This is very interesting. On one hand I just want to wait until the game is fully out and play it all at once, I don't feel like I need a mini release to adjust to the style, it's a game, how hard can it be. On the other hand I'll take whatever MGS I can get it whenever I can get it.

There better be some real meat to this for £30 for a next-gen version, it would be easier to swallow if it was an actual retail box, but £30 for a digital copy of what is seemingly just a prologue is a lot.

That doesn't make me feel better at all :-/

Kojima knows how loyal us MGS fans are. Will buy 2 copies. PS3 Boxed for my collection, PS4 digital to play.

I am part of the problem.

I knew they were going to pull this nonsense from the moment they were being cagey about how GZ and TPP fit together.

For $30, this better be the biggest prologue of all time.

As long as the full game doesn't suddenly make us play as someone else. ;)

If it is really 30$ for next gen, I'll buy it for sure! Converted to EUR this will be a cheap grab, even if the price for next gen is higher.

Can't wait!

Well, think of it this way guys. Journey was 15 bucks on PSN, and 30 bucks at retail. Ground Zeroes is just going to be a little more, and it's a big open world MGS experience! Loooool.
