Fall 2013 Anime |OT2| The Rise and Fall of Kyoto

Well, Hanamonogatari would be mostlikely a four episodes arc like Nekomonogatari (Black), so they could air it as special whenever they want like they did it with Nekomonogatari (Black) or like the incoming Hidamari Sunshine special at the end of the month.

I was hoping it would be a new TV series that would also adapt at least a couple of the "third season" books. Although I guess they'd title it something different if that were the case.

This doesnt exist. It doesnt exist right Zach?

Guys I'm pretty sure I'm going through a post Blood-C hangover this morning, and I still have to watch the movie . . .

Dont waste your time on the movie Corvy Kun.

Is this another instance of anime movies not having anything to do with their TV show counterparts? Cuz that'll suck, what with the kind of large cliffhanger the show ended on and all.

Half the stuff I've seen on the List has been shit, tho.

Yes. It sucks. Watch ARJUNA INSTEAD.

Arjuna has to wait its dang turn. Crystal Triangles is up next.

It would be easier to leave Katz alone if he wasn't always screwing life up for literally every single person onboard the Argama.

They need to get rid of most of the crew if they reboot the series.

It's the best Gundam series since Turn-A.

That was Gundam 00 (yet to watch Unicorn). Im not into gundam action figures and not interested in another pokemon/digimon/medabot kids fighting with toys show, unlike the classics BF looks as exciting as beywheelz...

Girl was pretty terrible at her job. Like half the time the monster would eat people and only THEN would Saya even draw her sword. At least I assume people were eaten. Hard to tell with the frequent SHWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING of light every single time.

There was a picture of Saya computer antivirus program posted a long time ago. It was pretty awesome.
And Saya condoms.

Okay, I liked this one a lot more than the first episode (although I still haven't watched episode 0). Some backstory for Koto was definitely needed. I'm still not entirely sure what's going on, but I don't think I'm supposed to at this point. I'm not expecting it to ever explain everything, actually, and I'm fine with that.

This also definitely has the best OP and ED of the season.

Hunter x Hunter - Some number up to 47
Fuck yeah. This show has been letting me down in many areas, and the areas that are strong (comedy, good character interaction through dialogue, music) aren't why I'm watching Hunter x Hunter. The auction
massacre
brought some awareness about an element that is bugging me. These characters simply don't feel human. Death and violence don't seem to bother them. That's understandable for Killua, but Gon and Leorio have almost no reaction to the
the auction massacre
. Gon grew up on a peaceful island growing up in the wild. An innocent, honest kid like him shouldn't take every death with a smile on his face. I mean Hell, even during the Hunter exams when someone died in front of his face he couldn't take 2 seconds to show any emotion. I even mentioned before that his
quest to find his dad, even after hearing the tape
, isn't a quest that seems full of much emotion or caring. When he speaks of it, it's always with a smile on his face...never a "Why the Hell did my piece of shit dad abandon me?" which I could relate to a bit more. Now this can all ultimately pay off if we eventually get some massive breakdown (even a short one) where he lets loose with how he really feels.

But this is the best thing about Gon's character. He takes the "shonen protagonist who is so innocent and friendship and super special at everything" trope to its logical conclusion, by being outwardly innocent and childlike but actually borderline inhuman. He's good-hearted, yes, but it's the most chaotic, animalistic kind of good. Most shonen protagonists claim to think friendship and dreams and morals are the most important things in the world, but Gon literally doesn't care about anything else. Very little fazes him, since he assumes the best of everyone and takes everything up to and including death as a matter of course, but if you do manage to make him angry then oh god just run and pray he never finds you.

You're a hell of a lot better at explaining things than I am, cnet.

I didn't know exactly what I was supposed to say without spoiling anything when I replied to him earlier, but yes, this is essentially it.

I'm still convinced he's gonna drop this series eventually, though. All the things that seem to bother him about the series don't really ever change too much (except the action, which does get better), and the plot never actually resolves in the way that anyone expects it to. I could see that as being extremely frustrating to someone who's just looking for a good but more or less typical shounen action series.

I think he'll probably like Jojo more, since even as weird as the series gets, Araki isn't hellbent on fucking with genre conventions (or at least bringing them to their logical conclusion), like Togashi seems to be.

Pokemon XY
Geez, what a cliffhanger. Pokemon show, why you sooo slow? Took you 5 eps to get the childhood friend route unlocked--and you do it at the last second.

Anyway, assuming Ash is still 10 years old... I'm not sure it's long enough for him to forget because of time (He doesn't even look that much younger. 2 or 3 years at most?). Therefore, the only logical conclusions I can come up with are:

1) Ash has a twin brother that will bring about a love triangle.
2) Ash has been shocked one-too-many times by pikachu (or fell off a bridge) and ended up with amnesia.
3) Serena was brainwashed by Team Rocket and implanted with memories of Ash to bring her closer to him for the ultimate betrayal
4) Ash always thought she was a boy when they were little, so he can't recognize her anymore.
5) Serena only saw him in a dream/vision brought about by a legendary pokemon according to destiny for some grand purpose.
6) Ash remembers her but is playing hard to get.
7) Ash is an idiot and really forgot about her.

In my eyes, Ash is at least 13-14.

Don't try and tell me he's not

And 7 is the most likely scenario

Hitsugi no Chaika

Thank you.

Good episode, fairly darkish, especially
Myoue's attempted suicide
. The interaction between Myoue and Koto is pretty sweet, and Koto's talk about A and Un.
The DNA thing with Myoue and Myoue was weird. Looks like there's more to that role than just a name.

"When we find our mother, I want you to kill me."
WAIT WHAT.

Next episode is a thing. Since it's Episode 5.5, it doesn't count as one of the total 10 episodes, right?

What did I say about watching the uncensored version!

Why on earth would you try to save your Newspaper Club by creating a scandal and slandering the superintendant's son? That's just stupid. Also Tamaki is the superintendent's son. And he has no dark side. He's just a harmless idiot. And damn, Kyoya is one sneaky bastard. Anyone who makes a deal with him is of questionable intelligence.

Kyousougiga Episode 5:

Right, in spite of this being the most visually interesting show to almost put me to sleep on a regular basis, this was a better episode then last time, if only because Myoe is actually kind of interesting.

That was pretty good. The extra flashback sequence they added this time round contextualizes the story significantly, changing the tone of the character a lot. It does make sense that they needed to do this though, because out of the 3 major characters who are watch over the world, "Myoue" is the most important piece of the puzzle with regards to the creators and their return imo.

And that wraps it up for all the ONA material. They've expanded on everything they can, and reused as much footage as possible. It's likely that the remaining half of the series will mostly or entirely be brand new content. This is where it gets really interesting. :)
