Deadpool for $10? Had two friends recommend it to me, but I'm still not sure I'll like it enough to justify the price.

It's actually...not horrible. I mean, it's not a good game. But the writing somehow compensates for it to the point where I'd hesitantly recommend it at the $10 price point. I guess it depends on how much you like the character and the self-reflexive nature of the narrative.

Whats the deal with the Trine 2 Complete Story?

I owned Trine 2, now when i go to the complete story page it says i own it, however i see that upgrade option as DLC and i dont have any DLC in my trine 2 listing.

How do i know if i have it? Also, what does it do?

Complete Story is just the base game + Goblin Menace DLC. The page is saying you own it because store pages are app-based and you already own Trine 2 itself -- click here.

I thought the writing was weak. Just really cringe-y and dumb and trying way too hard--I mean, I know it's Deadpool, but I've gotten through Deadpool comics just fine but the game pretty rough.

The gameplay is pretty weak, also. It's like the devs haven't been paid attention to the past decade of solid action games, or just weren't skilled enough to accomplish anything notable or satisfying in the combat department.

I'd say $10 is good if you're a big Deadpool fan, but as a videogame, it's super lazy.

mediocrity at its best
Im sorta tempted on Deadpool. How is Monaco if you don't have any friends to play with?

Also, I just got my first Foil drop: Maxwell from Scribblenauts. Woooooooo

Apparently those who owned Trine 2 got upgraded to the "Complete Story". Not sure if there's any difference in what we have now versus those who buy it today.

I feel you, man. Games have a long way to go when it comes to certain things. But surely you can see why TellTale's games are appealing even if they don't live up to great film or literature.

Yeah, I know I'm setting the bar retardedly high, but once a videogame can get a scene and acting/voicing performances and cinematography like this. I'll be happy to sit back and watch with minimal interaction.

To be honest, the first time I've heard about the character was when a friend told me he was playing this game. So... looks like I'll pass, then. I see no point in spending 10 bucks on something that isn't a good game.

It'd be easier for someone else to do it, since I am Canadian and people would get hit with the foreign fees (unless we somehow get four Canadians).

It's 2.25 each for the four pack tho!

I'm in if we can find someone else to host it. I was looking at my Poker Night 2 purchase and I was actually charged $.08 tax on the $.99 purchase. So...

Anyone else having problems logging into the steam website? I put in the username/pass and when i click "SIGN IN" nothing happens, like i was clicking on nothing.
Every other button in the page works.

Java is up to date, btw.

Got past the log in screen (the url was fucked, apparently), but now i can't make the payment info page load up, neither in the browser version, nor in the application one.
Goddamit.

Internet has been all kinds of fucked up in the last few days.

Deadpool for a 10-er is decent.

The gameplay is ....decent, but the wit and writing carry that game far. Nolan North's performance is excellent, as well.

So many funny bits in that game. I might double-dip for 10...

Oh man , I've put 95$ on that sale already!

-The Witcher
-The Witcher 2
-Bioshock Infinite
-State Of Decay + Breakdwon DLC
-Deadlight
-Dishonored
-Skyrim (the edition with all DLCs)
-Far Cry 3
-Metro 2033
-Sleeping Dogs (with year of the snake and zodiac tournament DLCs)

And I had a very nice gift from a GAFfer called "The One Who Knocks" who gave me keys for 5 games which are:

-Dead Space
-Burnout paradise: The ultimate box
-Crysis 2 Maximum Edition
-Mirrors edge
-Medal of Honor Warfighter

I feel like it's christmas already haha

Pack? What do you mean, I'm new to all this steam thingy.

The comment that you quoted and responded to about "hosting" wasn't about a Poker game but about buying a 4-Pack of a game currently on sale on the Steam store. The 4-Packs have an even greater price reduction average per game. One person "hosts" by buying the 4-Pack, he gets a copy himself, and then gets gift copies to give to others who then pay the average price per copy via Paypal to the "hoster".

sell me on warband guys
I created a lady, pledged allegiance to a kingdom, married some random count, the dude defects to an enemy kingdom, we cross each other in battle and I defeat him, capture him and sell him as a slave.

shit like that is commonplace in warband

get monaco at 2.25 a pop instead of 2.99 because of the 4 pack steam sells... yeah we're that cheap.

Ohh ok lol. I thought you guys were talking about hosting a poker game on Poker Night 2. Oh well.

Yeah, my bad lol. and thanks for the explanation.

Hey you guys know of any games like Grim fandango on PC nowadays?! It was the most amazing game I had played when I was younger but I have yet to find another game of this genre since.

well it only took 4 years of building a backlog but it looks like this is going to be the first major steam sale where I don't buy a single item

See above you for real answers, but it is one of the best (and most unique) RPG/strategy games you will find. The graphics aren't super hot, but it's one of those games where 20 or even 50 hours in, you'll still be saying, "You mean in this game you can actually do that?"

sell me on warband guys

my post on the last page:
Just buy Warband, it's basically an improved version of the original Mount & Blade with added online multiplayer. The Napoleonic Wars expansion is multiplayer DLC, which I haven't tried out but includes guns. Fire and Sword is a single player add on, but it's not very good and there are numerous free mods that are superior to it (1257AD, Brytenwalda, Floris, Prophecy of Pendor, to name a few). There's even a Game of Thrones mod, which is pretty good.

Warband's single player mode is an open world sandbox RPG. You can join up with several factions as a merc or vassal, or attempt to form your own kingdom. Siege castles or participate in tournaments. Raid and plunder villages or choose to protect them. Spec your character into a master archer or a great sword wielding knight. Recruit different units and train them to be a badass warband. The game is incredibly deep and fun. A bit tough at first, but once you learn how things work you will spend hours playing without realizing it.

Here's a guide to Warband: http://m.imgur.com/a/FMAqV
The images might need to be displayed at their native res to be readable.
