Retail-GAF, how do the Xbox One and PS4 shipments look at your store?

Baltimore Maryland, Targets, Walmarts, and Best Buys. I've haven't seen a ps4 in stock. XB1 are getting regular restocks most places I've checked but they sell out quickly. Another thing selling out? 2Ds. They are hard to find as well as the original 3ds. 3DSXLs are easy to find as the WiiU. I've seen a few Wii minis in carts.

Sorry didn't mean to knock you working there. A job is a job is a job

Just kmarts have never been popular where I live

Lol, it's cool man. They're not popular anywhere. :p

More anecdotal stuff too, I was talking to a cashier at my local GS, and he said that they've sold out on every ps4 they've got in minutes. XB1 is soldout too, but sold out at a much slower pace. The thing is they've been getting tons of calls about when the ps4 is available compared to not that much for the xb1. Probably because PS4's are much harder to find but it's still something to think about.

I'm from Adelaide, Australia.

We still have launch day stock of Xbox Ones in pretty much every store, I'm not sure if they have been replenished. The PS4 on the other hand has sold out everywhere until February 2014. All stores I have spoke. To are getting only one shipment a month until Febuary and then they are expecting supplies to be readily available from then on.

Oh and there were 30 xbox ones for launch and only 24 have sold (20 on launch). There was also about 30 PS4's for launch and they sold out that night.

If you know how many there were at launch, how many have sold, and how many are left, how can you not know if they were replenished?

My friend manages a local EB, and they seem to be getting regularly restocked on both, but are still filling wait listed people who pre-ordered after the cut off.

Because when I talk about the launch numbers and how many were sold and are left over, that was for one store. The store which my mate works at and which I went to for both midnight launches. So I know how many sold that night and I've spoken to him about how many they got of each system and how many xbox's have sold since.

When I said I don't know if they've been replenished I was talking about the fact that there are day one bundles and standard editions still widely available all over my city.

I haven't gone around asking every store in my town wether they have been restocked or not.

Best Buy up here in Nh/Mass. Our inventory system shows almost 1000 ps4 available being held for tomorrow's ad, and that's just our district. the surrounding ones all have at least 6-700 each. Hell, the store in Salem, NH has around 150 alone. tomorrow is going to be crazy.

Do you happen to have Nashua's stock?

Working at Walmart near Montréal,Québec. We received more than 140 PS4 on launch day. Won't receive more until January.

Received around 24 XBones on launch day, received 24 more this week. We 're supposed to receive at least one other shipment before the new year.

I saw my first xbox one in the wild today. At costco in a very prominent spot at the entrance. Had about ~10 all for sale for 480.

Work at a Walmart in BC. Haven't received additional PS4s or XBOs since launch. A man came yesterday and returned 4 PS4s (he bought 10 at launch, I'm guessing he couldn't resell all of them) and they sold within a half hour.

Some of these stories kind of go with what I've been thinking in that while MS is delivering more frequent shipments they still haven't matched the day one shipment of Sony. So it makes good message board fodder that the supply of xones is just overwhelming Ps4 it seems merely just to be a by product of different distribution schedules.

We will know what's real in a few days.

There was one PS4 in-stock at FYE (at Arundel Mills) on Thursday....of course it sold out fast.

HMV UK. We seem to get a shipment every week in of both consoles, between 6-15 on average. Both sell out the day we receive them, but far more people are asking about PS4s. We also had weirdly low stock of Xbone games for the first week or so too, seems to be okay now though. I feel bad for all the present buying parents whose kids have dropped them in this manhunt for consoles so late in the game, so many depressed looking parents walking around!

I went into my local Walmart to get something to fix a busted pipe. They just so happened to to get a shipment of them last night so I picked one up. I am loving it so far.

I was just in my local Best Buy. No PS4s or Xbox Ones, although I guess I see above that PS4s are being held back for a Sunday ad. PS3s and Xbox 360s kind of spread all over the place. I initially didn't see any Wii Us. The Wii U section is basically tucked away in the back corner, actually separated from Xbox and PlayStation by a PC gaming section, of all things. But as I was leaving, I finally spotted the Wii Us behind one of those big rolling staircases they use in Best Buy to store and retrieve stock. There were about a dozen or so, separated somewhat diagonally from the main Wii U area.

I wasn't necessarily in Best Buy to buy anything other than perhaps a gift card for my brother, but as is often the case, I walked out with something I never intended to buy when I walked in. In a blue box.

Yep, you guessed it, the Seinfeld box set. I didn't even know they released a new one, the complete series (a better quality release) was basically being sold at scalping prices, but this set apparently came out in November. Best Buy had it for $99, which is actually a better price than what it is on Amazon.com right now ($130.41, as of this posting), so I consider that a nice score.

Not in retail but I thought this was interesting.

I was at the Danbury mall walking by the Microsoft store they had 2 employees holding Xbox One boxes over their heads waving them at people walking by with a pyramid thigh high of boxes behind them. I went into Macys got a down coat(East Coast is cold fellas) walked back and seemed to be the same amount. Anecdotal of course but if your official store has a good amount of product it seems you are meeting demand and then some. Anyone else see this?

So I was in work today and managed to pull some concrete stats from the system:

XB1's sold to date: 51
PS4's sold to date: 31

XB1 shipment quantity: 60 total from two shipments
PS4 shipment quantity: 31 from one shipment

PS4 preorder total: 113
XB1 preorder total: 41

PS4 profit per unit: $62
XB1 profit per unit: $24

Next ps4 shipment has 27 units but couldn't find a date, coworker said 16 Dec though.
PS4 annihilating XB1 in demand

All figures from large aus electronics retailer

i don't work in the retail industry, but it's all about demand and not supply. there were xbones at the local ebgames in stock but in ps4's case the store hasn't even fulfilled all the preorders so their next ps4 stock isn't going on the shelves.

This is great information. It highlights the disparity between PS4 stock and demand. The One seems to have lower demand, but Microsoft is meeting it, at least. Sony isn't making large strides in meeting their demand, at all.

Hmm yesterday's Best Buy shenanigans moved a ton of PS4's in the states

More than 60,000 just yesterday by my estimation

I honestly believe while it is certainly a supply problem it is likely due to the crazy demand

Atlanta, GA Gaf checking in:

Perimeter Mall Best Buy: 1-2 Xbox Ones each time I am there, no PS4 sightings

Dunwoody Target: No Xbox Ones or PS4s (and we are there a lot, eg kids).

The Prada Game Stop: Clerk said they just had a few of each a week ago - none now

Yeah it's the opposite. I work at Walmart and we got 8 Xbones (Which lasted 3 days) and haven't gotten anything else since. We've only gotten one more shipment of PS4s since launch, so while still not great, it definitely is more.

I've just been to two electronics stores in Cologne, Germany. You couldn't find any PS4, however, they have lots and lots of Xbox Ones in store (Media Markt about ~30 consoles bundled with FIFA14 at 529€, Saturn ~40 consoles bundled with COD Ghosts at 519€).

My brother waited at Best Buy yesterday. Sales rep said they had 66 PS4s and about 50 XBONEs. Brother said they ran out of PS4 tickets shortly before the store opened. Plugging the skuid for XBONE into bestbuy.com today shows stock still available at that store (and three other area stores out of about 18). Don't have any idea how many, but bro said three people in front of him (out of about 25) took XBONEs, and the next one went to someone about 10 spots behind him (they only had a single line for both systems)

Dunno if it's just my area but if the store sold out of cameras and suddenly has them on shelves your store may be getting more ps4's. We got Cameras after being sold out for weeks just in time for a fresh batch of systems two days later.

My Target has sold through 5 X1 shipments, and 2 PS4 shipments. They sell out the day of every time. People call the store constantly as well and I have to sadly tell them we are all out :(

Gaming is one of the areas I oversee for a very large multinational retailer in a small Canadian city and we surprisingly have only received launch shipments for both consoles. Both consoles soldout within minutes and interest is still very high.
Alternatively a friend whom works at a competitors store has been replenished a few times since launch. The ps4 had been selling out within hours and the One within two days of each shipment.

Amazon seems to have Xbox One stock again. PS4 was in stock at Best Buy online buy has sold out pretty quickly.

If you live near the Bay Area, the Colma Best Buy is gonna have a shipment of PS4s this Sunday. Don't ask how many, because I wasn't given a number. The shipment we had yesterday was...30-ish? I wasn't working in the morning, so they were sold out by the time I got to work.

Cool. That's actually the Target I go to. I saw they had Xbox Ones on Friday. The workers were jokingly saying they had them when someone asked if they had PS4s.

Well, PS4 is still launching in new countries. For example, my country is getting its batch of PS4's on the 13th. I don't think there will be many units tho. :\

We actually had someone return a Day One edition of the xbone last night. No clue if it's still there or not since I had to call in sick today. From what I was told after I got to work yesterday, the PS4s were all sold out as soon as the doors opened.

I pre ordered a PS4 on the 29th of October at a very big retailer (bol.com) in the Netherlands. First shipment could deliver orders untill 20th of August, and today I got an email they got a second shipment and could now deliver orders untill the 10th of september.

Now my question is, in the rest of Europe, is there any word on a 3rd shipment before Christmas?

I ask this because I read several rumors that there will be a 3rd shipment in the Netherlands around de 20th of December.

This waiting is killing me, especially with BF4 KZ FIFA and a second DS4 waiting for me here lol

Hmm it wouldn't surprise me as Sony is pushing out a lot A LOT of stock in December

But maybe that means it's not likely?

They have Asia to feed it's initial allotment plus a couple other countries for their launches and then they won't gimp US allotment at all so not sure

Gamestop employee from GA. PS4's sell out quick online an in store(both at launch and black Friday.) Bones do sell out but our units sit for days and online has yet to go out of stock to my knowledge.

From what I've seen Microsoft has nothing major to worry about until after the holiday. I have a feeling ps4s will be selling out well past December if demand stays how it's been so far. And while we do have xbone hunters I spend most of my day answering back to back phone calls asking when PS4s will be available.

Also when I say online I mean the web in store option Gamestop uses when a product isn't readily available in store.

Where in GA? I too live in GA. Marietta to be exact.
