Last year's chart from MCV UK mixed up the hardware and accessory segments (or something like that), so best to double check what they claim.Overall UK revenues (only software) increased due to growing digital sales:

ERA usually uses Chart-Track data, the digital number should be estimated though.
We should probably get a better report about the gaming market from mcvuk in the next few days, including hardware, accessories and so on.

It won't. The annualization isn't the problem. Just look at BF4. That's in decline too.I'm happy Call of Duty is declining. Maybe it will stop this horrible trend of annualising games.

Thanks to this, I can extrapolate how much these games actually sold week per week, as well as how much they sold per platform (I mean, with the last shares from Guardian ;_
I'm currently trying to extrapolate week per week numbers for each game, but I noticed numbers are higher than what estimated before. Heck, the extrapolated FIFA 14 debut (924,240) is higher than the debut extrapolated back at debut (836,000). The only explanation I can think of is that the Entertainment chart include the 10% of the market that GFK doesn't count.
EDIT: Just verified
2,656,763 --> 90% of that --> 2,391,087
2,391,087 / 2,87453936712 = 831,816
Yeah, those sounds like the real numbers, after all.
What should I do? Extrapolations starting from 90% or from 100%?
IMHO should be from 100% so we can know the final sales..
You know what? I'm doing both! 90% and 100%
FIFA 14
Week 1 - 831,816 / 924,240
Week 2 (-68%) - 266,181 / 295,757
Week 3 (-66%) - 90,502 / 100,557
Week 4 (-29%) - 64,256 / 71,395
Week 5 (-21%) - 50,762 / 56,402
Week 6 (+5%) - 53,300 / 59.222
Week 7 (-16%) - 44,772 / 49,746
Week 8 (-7%) - 41,638 / 46,264
Week 9 (+328%) - 178,211 / 198,010
Week 10 (0%) - 178,211 / 198,010
Week 11 (-15%) - 151,479 / 168,308
Week 12 (-3%) - 146,935 / 163,259
Week 13 (+18%) - 173,383 / 192,646
Week 14 (-31%) - 119,634 / 132,926
Call of Duty: Ghosts
Week 1 - 687,908 / 764,342
Week 2 (-76%) - 165,098 / 183,442
Week 3 (-16%) - 138,682 / 154,091
Week 4 (+33%) - 184,447 / 204,941
Week 5 (+2%) - 188,136 / 209,040
Week 6 (-21%) - 148,627 / 165,142
Week 7 (+7%) - 159,031 / 176,702
Week 8 (-24%) - 120,864 / 134,294
I know, COD Week 8 should be lower than FIFA Week 14, I know...there's something strange. But Week 4 corresponds perfectly, I don't know what's the problem.
I'll continue tomorrow.

The performance of Next-Gen Multuplattform titles on PS4 is really......impressive.
There must have been big shipments for both PS4 and One, all their multiplatform SKUs increased in places compared to last week.

They need to start launching their titles at £29.99, I reckon. A bit more western support wouldn't go amiss either, but I guess that's out of their hands.3DS down to 2 titles in the top 40. More next gen releases might knock those two out as well. Nintendo needs to do something soon there . And in that context Wii U not having any titles isn't surprising.

Also, in a few places, the price of Xbox one games have dropped.
You can get most X1 games under the golden £40 mental barrier now.
Sony needs to do something about this retailer gouging.

Does this include iOS/Android/Steam? And if so, does iOS/Android include all Apps or only apps categorised as 'games' on the store?Overall UK revenues (only software) increased due to growing digital sales:
