kyoani animation amazes me. Yui even blinks while they're rotating the space in 3D. Unless they "cheated" and modeled her in 3D like they did with the background, that's a pretty crazy shot to hand draw.

You'd know it if it were 3D, unless you mean if they rotoscoped a 3D model, then I have no idea.
