I know it's kind of off topic, but does anyone think that the lights on the PS4 console are backwards? Like, the white light should be for bootup and the blue light should be for operational mode? I can't be the only one who thinks this.

Ya, that white to me just looks like an error light for some reason.

Blue light should be on and operational mode.

I am a warriors fan and I found the touchscreen stuff to be really invasive and a hinderence to the gameplay. Very repetitive (saying something for this type of game) and a chore at times. Especially when you are doing a mission and play as a character you haven't leveled up yet, the enemy officer can kill you pretty easily in that stupid touchscreen duel.

The minigames are also annoying when forced to do during the campaign.

However outside of that stuff it is really good, but that stuff brings it down quiet a bit.

Imo it's exactly the opposite, those minigames add variety to a genre known for being repetitive.
The only forced minigame during a mission is the duel(well you could probably avoid it if you can conquest the map without encountering the enemy commander), i made many missions without ambushes or similar.

What's the need of level up in the duel? Are you sure you played them in the right way? The only thing you need to do to win a duel is to read the enemy movement and act accordingly, no more no less, they are really easy, but you lose if you get 3 hits IIRC.

I also think the white PS4 light is like, "Dude, something is wrong!"

But it's not! The blue light is so friendly and inviting, it can't possibly mean something is wrong with my system, right?

Guys?

I'm sorry, this morning i was a little aggressive lol.
What i wanted to say is that DWN is a great game(a big surprise for me and one of my favorites on vita) and the touch screen stuff is really non invasive, it would be a shame to miss such a game(for free!) for such rare and short stuff, in a 10 minutes mission IF you find an ambush(most of the times you don't) it lasts a pair of seconds and as i said you don't die if you fail it, and the duel with the enemy commander lasts 20 seconds only if you don't know what are you doing lol, and again if you fail you need only to redo the duel, not the entire mission like in the case you die on a normal fight.

Those are the exact opposite of invasive and DWN is not a collection of touchscreen minigames like you are depicting it("my time and storage space is limited so if I have to put up with touchscreen minigames, I'd rather avoid it") but a real DW game with even new exclusive features like character creation.

DWN is a really well thought game, tailored for Vita, one of the best looking games with beautiful native res graphics + (4x?)AA and everyone should at least try it imo, the presence of touch screen stuff is absolutely not an excuse imo, but do what you want.

It's alright, no worries.

Thing is, I already tried the demo and found the touch stuff annoying and detrimental to my enjoyment. I don't know what invasive is to you but if it's there and you have to do it and can't avoid it... well, that's pretty much what I'd call invasive. The fact that failing them has no bearing on the game just makes them even more pointless.

I said my time is limited because I have other games to play, games I enjoy more than what I experienced in the DWN demo. I save all PS+ games anyway so maybe one day I might decide to check it out regardless. I'd rather have a Musou game without that stuff.

Yeah, I agree. Especially because blue is pretty much the Playstation official color. I actually thought it would work as you describe before I got one.

I agree with you. Kinda wish it lit up on the actual front panel of the system where the power / eject is too because I have my PS4 standing vertically and I can't actually see any of the light anywhere from where I sit.

Ya, that white to me just looks like an error light for some reason.

Blue light should be on and operational mode.

Didn't think I was the only one. It honestly makes me wonder if it was supposed to be this way, but it got screwed up with the initial firmware (It's not really a secret that it was rushed a bit). I'd love for them to fix it in a later firmware release if possible (which it should be since the LEDs are controlled by software).

I'm getting pretty bored by The Last of Us. I'm kinda just forcing my way through it at this point. If things don't pick up soon I think I'll just stop playing. When the game actually does give me some gameplay I generally enjoy it. Especially when it involves Clickers. But it seems like a hell of a lot of the game is just walking along listening to characters talk. I'm not particularly hooked by the story so that doesn't help. But I should point out it's VERY rare for a game story to do so. I'm a gameplay man. A lot of the time spent with the game is just boring me, and there's only so many times I can go pick up a plank or a ladder before it starts to get to me. I dunno, I'll give it a bit more of a chance and if things don't pick up I'll stop.

Whoa hold up.

Dustforce is coming to Vita this month? Only US or EU as well?

I don't think dustforce will come this month. There has been very little talk about it lately. I'm guessing its still a while away.

originally i heard dustforxe was slated for januar release but nothing concrete.

hopefully they're working in some ps4/xb1 releases and olli olli still hits soon. vita exclusive indie <3

The demo tries to show you all the new features of the game in the same map, for this reason they are many, but in a typical mission of the complete game there are only one duel and one or two ambushes if you find them(clearly recognizable from far away too so avoidable if necessary).
But if you didn't like the demo i guess is futile to go on.

OlliOlli excites me because it's actually a Vita-exclusive indie game. Why do we never get those? The Vita is known to do well with indies, yet we have pretty much no Vita exclusives.

Exclusive indies are pretty much a thing of the past regardless of platform. Any indie game developer will always want his game to be on as many platforms as he can afford to.

Multiplayer is fantastic. At least boot it up and play a few rounds before giving up.

You're right, but they do still occasionally happen. Or at least that one platform+PC.

It won't be Vita exclusive for (very) long

Yeah, last we heard, Dustforce was Jan on PS3 and Vita, that was back at the tail end of last year though.

Velocity Ultra was a Vita exclusive for some time. Now it's been ported.

Still, indies would usually port their game to toasters if they were able to play games. They need as much money and exposure as they can.

Yep, just upload the save to the cloud and download it again on the new PS3. I've done it with no issues.

edit: also make sure you've synched your trophies before getting rid of the PS3.

uh oh.

The patch and the DLC for muramasa causes the game to not launch. I'm getting a C1-2760-5 error whenever I launch the game.

Is the KZ:M community still alive and well? I played the beta for a bit and enjoyed it enough for a $9 purchase. How is the SP campaign?

A rhythm game is a game as any other. Actually, it is more of a game than stuff like The Walking Dead.
Don't get me wrong, i have nothing against them(well except that i'm really bad at them lol) but it seems to me that there are too many compared to other consoles or even to other genres on Vita itself, and it's not like Vita has a overflow of the other more mainstream genres.
