Doesn't include all the dlc for the games (preorder bonus, le, ce content).... pass, it's the same as the Mass Effect Trilogy. Not worth the purchase.
Which is a shame, because the Fable II DLC was fantastic

Never played a Fable game, so I guess this thing is targeted at me. The posts in this thread don't make it sound all that good though, lol
Fable one was decent game with a ton of promise . But they went down the wrong path with the sequels.

This. I wouldn't be against remakes of 360/Xbox classic titles for XB1 personally. I know this won't happen, but out of any RPG remakes for next-gen - the one trilogy that I would want the most would be the Mass Effect trilogy.

Uh what. Fable 2 and 3 aren't really hard to come by..
Still looking forward to Anniversary for my 360 though.
edit: Fable 1 was great, Fable 2 was a solid game, Fable 3 is a forgotten game in the history of games

Pretty much. Still disappoints me that Anniversary isn't making it over to the X1. Could have been used as nice release filler between Titanfall and the late Summer/ early Autumn onslaught...

Nope, the Xbox Originals on the 360 of Fable is vanilla. I never bought that shit because I had TLC on my original Xbox and wasn't going to pay for less content.
They finally learned people didn't want vanilla again, so those of us that wanted the proper full game will now get it for our console. Fable Anniversary has the Lost Chapters content.
It's also running in 1080p on the 360..

Seriously does Microsoft not understand that NO ONE cares about current\last gen anymore, remake these games on XB1 and people will be thrilled but the PS360 is dead as far as people spending money.
Hell I'd happily pay 60$ for Fable 1 and 2 redone on PC or XB1 if they could hit 1080p

Care to back this up with facts, or are we willfully ignoring <4% of people from the 360 generation own a One? Or is this just port begging?
Fable Anniversary is 1080p. On the 360. What does a One version bring to the table that the 360 version does not?
Possibly even better graphics than the 360 version if they had remade it for the X1.=O

The remake of Fable 1 looks absolutely fantastic. I loved the first game and what they have done with the remake looks so damn good. Cannot wait for this...but I agree with some of you, they should of made a 360 and Xbox One version of the remake. This way they can cater to those that have already moved onto the Xbox One and still take care of the massive install base of the 360.

Just an example of why 1080p isn't the only graphical spec that determines how good a game looks.

How about the big article from yesterday(no I'm not going to go find it) showing drastically reduced retail software sales?
Again F@#$ last gen , you couldn't pay me to go back and play PS360 I'm over it........... sold all my systems the day BestBuy had their 100$ trade in deal tired of weak ass IQ and shit frame rates.........I'm talking REAL 1080p next gen 1080p or at least something that resembles PC graphics from like 3 years ago.

Yeah, this is a bizarre game to be working on. Maybe Lionhead wants to get back to their roots by remaking this game. Maybe it'll give them ideas for Fable Legends.
It's a budget title. The graphics budget was never going to be high.
The framerate is locked. The world's "richness", a highly subjective term, is limited due to the fact that it's a new coat of paint over the same bones.
Higher resolution textures? Once again, it's a budget game.
From a single retailer, and the same news story mentioned that next gen sales did not make up the difference. It was an overall software sales drop with both generations combined. Don't cherry pick your statistics.
You might have moved on, but you're still in a tiny minority of customers. We'll have last gen and cross gen releases for the next two years, minimum, until the One and PS4 install bases get large enough that ignoring their predecessors doesn't mean sacrificing multi-million sales.

I swear to heaven, I must be the only human being who enjoyed each of these games. Perfect? Nope. Technical showpieces? Not really. Customization-heavy action-RPG with subtle passage-of-time mechanics, an oddball sense of humor and an interesting, English-influenced fantasy setting? Yup. I'll take it.

I had no idea who molyneux was or fable was when I picked it up from a bargin bin all those years ago, I absolutely fell in love with that game, then I remember getting super hyped for 2, and it was probably my biggest disappointment of that gen. I don't wanna talk about 3..anyways im sure If I replayed the first one right now I would kinda hate it, but its a nice memory.
That makes zero sense.

Fable 2 was one of my favorite games of all time and more fun to me than any Zelda , but not gonna play it again without a complete graphical rework and Fable 1 reworked and added in.
Which probably has ZERO chance of happening so I should just give up and move on

It's because the selection of games worth actually purchasing at retail on PS4(and X1 to lesser extent) is dreadful.......people are just holding onto their money because the current nextgen retail(and overall) gaming selection is weak sauce.

Fable Anniversary is $40 (too much) so 2 games for $10 apiece is not a bad deal.
It would be odd if the game wasn't 1080p on 360.
2 is not the best in the series, fuck what ya heard

The first sort of does if you min-max into a 'pure' will / skill / strength character, if only to see the - frankly amazing - level of emergent customisation they programmed in that pretty much nobody who ever played the game 'properly' would ever notice.

Fable 2 needs to come out on PC. It's annoying that 1 and 3 are available for the PC but not 2.

I'd buy a Fable Trilogy for PC despite owning both Lost Chapters and 3 already if it included full controller support for 1 and removed GFWL from 3 (and included all DLCs etc for free).
Even though Fable 3 is - in the sum of all of its parts - a real stinker of a game.

He also literally said it would be "The greatest RPG ever made".

Fable 2 was a brilliant game and I'd love a PC port. I'm looking forward to the Anniversary remake of Fable 1 too but I don't ever want to play Fable 3 again. Still, this will be a decent package for any new 360 owners that haven't played the series before.
