Started Steam and noticed that my 3D Mark started to update. They included a new dx12 benchmark. Come in and post your results.

Nothing really surprising in the placement of these GPUs.

Only Graphic Scores:

Awesome! I'm going to run this when the download finishes!

I looked at the update notes a couple of minutes ago because I saw a 1.8GB update but I didn't see a mention of DX12, I'm going to have fun benchmarking with this!

Edit: Just realized the update note on Steam was actually from Tuesday, of course there was no mention of it lol.

I got 7411 with my 1080 / 5820k (both relatively mildly OC'ed on air).

7554 GPU score and 6698 CPU score.

The premise of the demo actually looks quite interesting, someone should make a game from that :p

They need to work on their LODing, that demo was an aliasingfest.

(of course that would work against the purpose of throwing draw calls at your system).

Got 4214 on a 290/5820k (3936 gpu and 7027 cpu)

i7 4790K at 4.8GHz and GTX 970 at 1550MHz Core and 7603MHz memory.

12GB of 1333MHz DDR3 (I should really get a 2400MHz kit, this slow ram is holding my CPU back).

They break down Async vs No Async over here. You see the expected boosts you see from AMD on Async thanks to hardware shaders, 11% on the RX 480 as an example. You see basically jack shit on Maxwell based Nvidia since Async is really not a thing there. On Pascal, there is a modest jump in performance with Async, 6%. So the changes Pascal has for Async compute does seem to exist and work somewhat, good news for GTX 1070/1080 owners at least.

GPU has a slight overclock on air. CPU is hybrid cooled.

What is that Time measurement data not available thing!?

Looks like, while the difference between a 980Ti and the 1070 is small on Dx11, is significant on Dx12. So jealous. :O

Is it? Doesn't look that big to me.
Nvm I looked again I guess it is a nice boost over 980ti

My OC 980Ti can match a stock 1080 on Dx11, but is nowhere close over Dx12 :(.

Can someone explain why?

At least looks like I'm winning the CPU front so far!

Even an OCed 980Ti is nowhere near a stock 1080 in pure math throughput.

Will try again when drivers are approved.

Very impressive results for the 1080. Are those CB results without OC? The Titan/1080Ti results will be insane... just a few months left.

Here my current results:

i7 4790K @ 4.6GHz
980Ti @ 1220MHz core / 7810MHz memory
32 GB RAM @ 2400MHz

I have a somewhat higher than average speed for having a 970.

The demo itself looks pretty nice, but not really *that* impressive. Not as nice looking as some fully designed games...

Miss the olde days when Mad Onion put out the real shit. 3DMark01 was probably the peak, but everything through 05 was pretty choice and showed me shit far above anything I saw in a game at the time.

It feels strange to be on top of the GAF heap for even one page of a new benchmark, time for Smokey to show up.
