It was hardly visible with the naked eye, but I was able to capture it with my mobile phone. Unfortunately I don't have much of a view of the sky where I live (in Amsterdam). And then there's the light pollution of the big city.

PS I've edited my original photo, because it was much brighter than what I actually saw.

There is a wooded hill directly north of me, but youcd have thought there'd have been something.

I was utterly gutted. I didn't think we'd get anything here so the missus and me had some wine, started watching a film. My lad rushes down the stairs saying his mate across town could see them..

I wanted to go over the woodland after hearing that, but couldn't drive

Depends on how much light pollution you have amongst other things.

It was clear as day around ours at times.

Missed it last night. Heard people in a Discord who live in the UK talking about it. For some reason I thought they would never show up here so I never went out to check. My neighbors got some very good shots of it last night.

I went out for a walk just now and saw some northern lights. It is almost midsummer here and the sun sets only for a couple of hours but still I managed to see some lights dancing across the whole firmament!

Not only did it never reach into my area, but it had been thunderstorming prior and it was way to overcast to notice anything even if I had been within the zone of interest.

As fait as it was last night, it was still pretty amazing to see.
