I'm sorry but Apple and Google are in the wrong here. When I buy a game from Best Buy I'm not continually paying them a fee because I initially purchased through them. If I purchase additional content elsewhere that's none of their concern. Netflix and Spoitfy fall in the same category. After the initial purchase there should be no more recurring payments to apple.
It's not quite the same, since these games are free to play, but I do agree that taking a 30% cut as a digital storefront is ridiculous and predatory. Epic has the right idea by starting up their own storefront that only takes a 12% cut on PC. Hopefully these antitrust lawsuits cause Apple and Google to back down a little, it surprises me that neither Google or Apple have ever tried undercutting the other on this to get exclusive apps.
