Behind the Scenes of Disney's Donald Trump 'Hall of Presidents' Drama

Why just give him a robotic pre-recorded speaking part?

I say turn it into a fully interactive "Turtle Talk with Crush" type of attraction. He could point out bad hombres for the crowd to kick out, identify pussies he'd like to grab, mock the disabled patrons in attendance, etc.

If you're really lucky and a woman or child in the theater with you looks like Ivanka, he'll ask her to come backstage after the show.

Fun for the whole family!

How many worldwide brands/companies have whiny conservatives successfully boycotted at this point, anyway? It inevitably ends up being nothing but talk and bluster, until they move on to their next daily outrage. Put in a robot that doesn't speak......maybe people will be upset, but they'll forget about it as soon as there's a Starbucks cup that doesn't say "Merry Christmas" on it or somebody makes a Superbowl ad that encourages diversity and unity.

Only thing liberals boycott are elections

Shameful present we're at, where the words "Disney's Donald" bring a rolling of the eyes instead of quacky fun for all.

The Trump part of the ride should just be silence. Let that and the grotesque assholes orange visage say everything there is to say about this monumental national fuckup.

That would spark a boycott. The general public doesn't have any context, and the headline would be "Hall of Presidents reopens a year later without Trump." Fox News pundits would slam it as unpatriotic and blatantly partisan. A Disney-wide boycott by the hard right would be imminent. Not just Disney Parks, either. ABC, ESPN, Marvel, and Star Wars could get sucked in. The counterpoint that Trump's team had been difficult to work with would be lost in the fray and labeled fake news eventually.

This is exactly why Disney is being so delicate with the situation.

I highly doubt Drumpf supporters are going to boycott ESPN.

Boycotting Disney is like trying to boycott Kraft. Fuckers own everything and everyone.

A Note from Motherboard Editorial
After a thorough investigation into the sourcing of two stories, "Here's the Secret Backstage Trump Drama at Walt Disney World's Hall of Presidents" and "Behind the Scenes of Disney's Donald Trump 'Hall of Presidents' Installation", and the identification of several factual errors, we have decided to retract both pieces. We are conducting a full editorial review to pinpoint how this source was vetted, and how these stories were approved and published in violation of our usual editorial workflow. We fell short of our standards, and regret the error.

And for all you conspiracy theorists out there, Disney holds an investment stake in Vice.

I guess that Disney, as a company that tries to appear moderate-progressive, didn't like being portrayed as honoring the temperament and fearing the publicity of DJT.

Disney is not a company cherished and beloved by conservatives. The company tries to capitalize on cultural progressivism by toeing the line just enough to satisfy their liberal audiences while staying otherwise apolitical.

If there's any truth to the story whatsoever - and the retraction suggests there probably isn't - that would be my guess to why they pulled it.
