So is the date on the tree the date of
Rachel's death?

What is it with companies putting a trailer for the trailer right in front of the damn trailer? Or is it just a WB thing?
Can someone explain the timeline here? If this movie takes place in 2049 that means that the original one still takes place two years from now? Did Trump mess things up that badly?
Something I've noticed is that it gives just enough time for mouse cursor (if full screen) and video interface to disappear before real trailer. What is it with companies putting a trailer for the trailer right in front of the damn trailer? Or is it just a WB thing?
I see this complaint nonstop now. I will solve it.
Here is a picture of a petri dish with a bacteria colony. It is not sterile. Please look at it for sixty seconds to cure any fear of minimalism.

It's for when Youtube puts the trailer in front of videos as an ad, so even if the ad is skipped, you'll still see a condensed trailer before you can clip the "Skip Ad" button.
The theatrical version is the best version.
😲I never heard that before either. Thanks. The writer of Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049 talked about his original idea for the sequel from the 80s.

Was this already known? I personally had never heard about and it seems his co-writer hadn't either.

No way, 2007 Final Cut is the best version.
Canon version.
it was the shortest one
it was the only one that explained what was going on.

Saw the IMAX 70MM trailer today (attached to Dunkirk), breathtaking.

It looked damn amazing on film. Something about these trailers looks a little too clinical otherwise. There's not going to be a 70mm release (per Roger Deakins), but one can hope.
I have been timing all the trailers but I didn't know there was anything being shown on celluloid. I see little reason to release anything on film anymore. I guess I have gone to the 'dark side' as I now find even the flicker of film projection distracting.
I am still mad about the film trailer for Blade Runner 2049 as I wasn't informed that it was being made. I hear that it was a little soft. No one seems to be able to do digital to film anymore. The film version of 'Skyfall' looked pretty great to me but I have not seen an equivalent since Deluxe lab 'retired'.
"Two days ago, Joe Walker, my editor, saw the trailer and was watching like (in shock). And I was like ”It's ok Joe, it's ok, it's ok." Because there are things you work hard to try to keep secret, or create tension, or two characters try in a room to create surprise in the movie. Then you look and the marketing department just shows it all. For me, I don't like it. I wish one day I will have control. I understand the importance of marketing. I understand competition. I understand the needs. But I wish we would be able to sell movies without showing too much of it. In a perfect world...
Interviewer: The line, ”We were being hunted..."
Denis Villeneuve: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I wish it was possible, but what can I say.
Deakins is actually pissed about the film trailer and is possibly pissed at not being asked to supervise it.
He hasn't actually seen it though.

But it was shot on digital.
Hard to say for the trailer. Seems to be a rework of the Vangelis theme with some Disasterpeace chords mixed in.The Music is AMAZING , is this Jóhann Jóhannsson or still Vangelis?
The former, i believe. The Music is AMAZING , is this Jóhann Jóhannsson or still Vangelis?
There's nothing wrong with going digital to film. Or film to digital to film, as is the case for all the effects shots in Dunkirk, or every 70MM print of Wonder Woman, etc.
