Bungie’s New IP Possibly Heading to Mobile Devices (Job Listings)

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Possibly more on that Netease game they were supposedly developing a while ago.

In a new development, Bungie, the developer behind iconic titles like Destiny and Halo, appears to be setting its sights on mobile gaming with its new IP.

Recent job listings from the studio have sparked speculation that their next big project could extend beyond traditional consoles and PC to embrace the ever-expanding world of mobile gaming.

The clues lie within Bungie’s own recruitment efforts, where job descriptions hint at a broader platform strategy. For instance, the listing for an “Incubation Technical Art Lead,” posted earlier this week, explicitly mentions optimizing game visuals for performance across all platforms, including PC, console, and notably, mobile.

From Marathon, Myth and Halo to Destiny and this shit.

Quite the impressive fall.
Chasing the money first

But coming to mobile doesn't mean much nowadays. As long as mobile p2w crap doesn't leak over to other platforms

Does by anyone left at bungie even know how to make a regular video game. At this point they should just rename to The Eververse Trading Company.

Bungie is so washed up. These guys were top tier devs at one point. Now they just want to make the most effective skinner box to extract money from you. Mobile is a perfect fit.
idk Final Shape looks amazing, and the community is super hyped with the Prismatic class

Phones are playing RE4 now, so yeah they are a hugely viable platform for a large GaaS game

This guy gets it.

The job posting specifically mentions "across all platforms (PC, console, mobile)".

Bungie is the ex who's living their best life and certain people can't stand it. They made SP games, now they don't. Cherish what you had and wish them the best.

Watch their next game be a massive hit in spite of all the FUD.
This is the problem with online discourse.

When we were growing up without social media, our friends who said crazy ****, and were proven wrong, wouldn't hear the end of it. This encouraged a level of rational thought. Now the internet creates emotion mobs where you can say dumb **** and no one remembers two days laters.
