I've been called worse. Not much worse though. I took three days off from GAF over the weekend, then I come back and OT seems to be all over the place (not here of course, never here, we're a dysfunctional but happy family).

Arguing about the merits of studios/publishers is so funny to me. It's like the threads about chain pizza, it's still fucking chain pizza at the end of the day. My favourites are the "COMIC MOVIES ARE KILLING CINEMA GRRRR!", because you know, mainstream cinema before Blade was 100% high art. I also like its' sibling "Adaptations are all terrrible and derivative, I know movies are made from books all the time but THAT DOESN'T COUNT BECAUSE REASONS!!!" *insert gif*).

I only read free range comics myself. *tips fedora*

We only have a Dominos in Waterford (the nearest Pizza Hut is Kilkenny I think). It is like €20 for a pizza here which is daylight robbery. I ate it a few times in college but it was like rubbery cardboard and I had to slather it in sauce to get it to taste okay. The local chipper was voted one of the best in the country so when I want a pizza I get it there which is less than half the price. Most of the time I will just get a base from the bread counter at the supermarket, top it myself and cook it at home.

This is very off-topic. I read Loki: Agent of Asgard #1-8, Scarlet Spider: Life after Death, Serenity: Leaves on the Wind and the Harley Quinn trade over the weekend and they were all pretty good.

Depends. I have ready only most the Crossovers involving Spider-Man and Batman and their were pretty good.
I preordered because I wanted to collect them anyway, so this comes hand and even the price is ok for an Omnibus.

No one is serious. If we were, we'd be talking about making a thread just for Image books. Just good comics, no event bullshit, and no Grant Morrison. Sounds like heaven.

Are we really going to turn a thread celebrating THE FINE COMICS OF NOVEMBER into a "Hey Narez hook me up on that cool hentai shit"? I'm down for whatevs, but, there might be rules and/or regulations against that. And I'd rather talk about whether or not I should be pumped about Secret Six, because last time Simone worked on a pet project it was The Movement and we all know how that went.

OH, and there's the last three issues of Axis to talk shit about. And Kieron Gillen's returning to Asgard. And there's that long lost Morrison Miracleman story Quesada is drawing. I guess also that comic based on the tv show based on the movie based on the comic Mark Waid is doing. And the Powers reboot! Bitch Planet! A new Eric Stephenson joint! WicDiv is back! Thunderworld!

EDIT: okay, the Secret Six preview looks PRETTY GOOD, like what Suicide Squad would be if it was made by cool people, I dig it. COMICS!

Oh man this thread is so funny! :D comics look pretty cool, I've only read a few of them myself. What IS better, DC or marvel? I tried reading Watchmen after I saw the movie but it was a bit boring (to me at least!) and the costumes were lame compared to the leather stuff in the movie (<3 silk spectre!). What's like the opposite of Watchmen?

Has anyone read Peter Milligan's Shade The Changing Man? I noticed my LCS has the old issues when I was looking for some Sandman Mystery Theatre floppies.

Yeah it's dope until issue 50 where Bachalo leaves the book and Milligan does something that changes the series pretty dramatically for the worse
