I've kind of soured a bit on the "endgame" of Borderlands 2 having played it quite a bit the last couple of days. Running and killing the same bosses over and over for a very minute chance of getting usable loot is pretty uninteresting.

The gap between Purples (very rare) and Legendary items in the game is too big-I wouldn't mind this nearly as much if any of the purples were as good as equivalent slot Legendaries, which they aren't. Ideally I'd just being playing the game through again or doing side quests / arena matches to get better loot but that's not the way the game is designed.

Gearbox is smart and will turn this around in future updates, I hope.

Picked up Torment today after reading the sample and good lord, I'm enjoying the scale of destruction. >:D

Characterization is a bit ropey so far, but when you blow shit up Roland Emmerich style you have my attention. :3

Book club stuff was great, I look forward to the next, several years down the line!

Tablet talk interested me, since these things seem to flow through our hands like water, going through iPads now into a brief stitn with the Fire now onto full blow Android with the Nexus 7. I think I like the Nexus 7 of the bunch, although that's a recent opinion, this thing was driving me up the wall for the first bit I had it.

I had the same issues with the touchscreen going non responsive on the right until power cycled and lag from typing, as well as the write speed issue (which may have caused the former) but Android 4.1.2 which came out awhile ago remedied all of that.

I get a little jealous of the ultrabook and laptop talk, we are stuck with what we have at work, we are so locked into this shit.

Also agreed on the Torchlight 2 vs Diablo III stuff. The press is playing WAY too nice with TL2, it's ridiculous as is some of the bullshit "I don't actually play either game" bullet point lists I've seen blogs cruise around for hits. I had almost as many issues with D3 but no one seems to be noticing that it has made huge strides while TL2 is static in it's great heaping flaws.

Borderlands 2 is better than both, though, and I didn't even like the original Borderlands!

Yeah, from reading around I guess I got lucky with my Nexus 7, I didn't have any of the hardware issues a lot of other people had. That would be the one time I have ever gotten lucky with an electronics purchase, haha.

Good episode. Love the book talk.

Shame that I think Diablo 3 isn't a fun game to play..nor do i think it has anything resembling a decent economy, but I love hearing you guys talk about it.

I'm not a huge fan, either, although I do respect the polish compared to other games of the sort. I think I am just not as into the genre as I once was.
