Neo Coin back over $40. Certainly seems like a new base may have been established for the coin after the new run this week in the mid to hi $30s.

Eth is back down again, I am a touch surprised its not rising with bitcoin. They seem pretty tied together.

Anyone else having trouble claiming GAS? I'm using the NEON wallet and checked it today after about a day and a half of not claiming any and it still says 0. Hasn't moved at all in about 10 minutes too.

I moved my NEO to the 'standard' wallet this morning and have no problems with GAS. Is the CoZ any better or you need it because you are on Mac?

I had a friend recommend the CoZ wallet mainly because of it's ease of use and it is pretty minimalist and easy. No complaints so far other than their "maintenance" this morning which I'm totally fine with.

As for NEO, hold on to ya butts...

Just did withdraw 9 NEO to put them into other coins though.

Wow at NEO.

My initial $200 amount is now nearly doubled - at $396 now!
(I know it was probably more than double at its high earlier, but I hadn't been around to check it then)

Do not worry, new coins will arrive in the future ;)

Yeah, I am also bummed that I missed Neo craze, but it is only my fault (empty CC)

I'm starting to plan ahead with the money I'm gonna make on NEO and although it'll be a nice bag, it won't let me live comfortably for the rest of my life. After I cash out I'm gonna reinvest half of it into some other coins. I hope we navigate this sea.

Earlier this week I got my very first (fraction of) bitcoin. It was in its all time high, about to reach 3000 euros. I had a feeling I wasnt doing the right thing, that I was buying it just because I wanted to use my Kraken account money. It started to go down, about 1%, so that thought kept in my mind. Fast forward to the next morning, the price recovered and I was making a small profit even, so I just sold it and decided to wait for the next time it would go down... Fast forward to today, this shit didnt stop going up, 3530 right now. 20% in less than a week.

FML. Lol. I have very little money on it so it doesn't make much difference money wise but I can also learn from the experience.

Cant decide whether to buy some more again or not though lol.

The best time to buy bitcoin was years ago. The second best time to buy is now.

Don't worry about the price. Would you really care now that you got in at $40 instead of $30? That's what the difference between $4000 and $3000 could look like in 10 years.

Technically we haven't missed all of it, if NEO goes to $300 it'll still be a good buy.

Wish we were in early though of course..

Sorry if this has been asked before, i did do a quick search. What's the best way to work with cryptocurrency in the UK?
I'm finding it difficult to determine what's the best way to do it. Do any members on here have experience?

Hopefully it sticks like this. I almost feel like I was the worst schill for NEO on here a month ago. I have a goal in mind with mine and I'll cash a portion out to reinvest. I wish I would have added a bit more and tempted to dump a few k more in.

Well, my wallet's now up over $400 - which means I've officially doubled the $200 I put in.

It's tempting to take the original $200 back out, meaning my initial principal would be out and all that would be in there would be the resulting profits...
But, on the other hand, with NEO's growth...

Which one of the coins is next in the line for (possible) rise? OMG and CVC?

Nobody knows, people are going to tell you the coins they think will get bigger. Just read up on the top20 and look up the devs/homepage/reddit/how is their wallet/ which partnerships etc.
You don't have to understand everything but try to get a feel if this is somehow feasible or just hype. Look up the various coin/crpto news sites now and then. If there is a news with "new partnership announced with xy" or "big update > bring feature xy to coin xy" then the price is probably going up everything else is just riding waves and guessing. Thats where the fun is.

Don't use money you can't spare.

Just beware, this was pretty much the attitude of investors prior to the dot.com bubble, and the Linux bubble. Riding waves of irrational investor behaviour is fine, as long as you recognize that that is what it is, and understand that you will have to bail out, possibly in a hurry, at some point. If you can't clearly identify for yourself the reason why a particular crypto asset should be valuable in the future, or if that reason is very tenuous, then be very careful about holding it long term. Just because some platform, product, or service has a tradeable crypto asset, doesn't inherently make it worth owning, especially once you have benefited from a ridiculous return. Realizing profits on certain crypto assets periodically would be quite sensible.

The few times I've bought, I went through Bittylicious. The fees add a fair bit on top but they were the cheapest at the time when I did it. I'm not sure if anywhere else has popped up with a better offer though.

Thanks to NEO and OMG my stack is now worth the same as my month's salary. I'm hoping to hit at least a year's salary before I cash anything out.

Well, I decided to withdraw $200 (which was my initial principal amount) from my accounts at Bittrex.
$200 ~= 0.05BTC (not exactly, but it's a workable conversion based on fees and such).
Bittrex limits me to withdrawing 0.25BTC (~= $100) per day, so I'll have to do it over 2 days.
I currently have 0.25BTC (well, 0.24BTC after the fee) pending to transfer from Bittrex to Coinbase.
Once that goes through, it will be interesting withdrawing from Coinbase to my bank account, because I haven't done that yet.
For now, we wait and watch...

Upload your ID and the limit should be basically gone. Verification takes 10 minutes.

German here - Kraken was my first step, because you can trade in € (pounds also). With time i switched more on more to bittrex, because you can trade a lot more alt-coins there (with bitcoins).

Sorry, I meant Bittrex. Go to settings.

Ah, alright. I guess I hadn't done any of their verification yet.
Tried doing the Basic verification, and it couldn't verify me based on public records (probably because I moved 4 months ago).
Did the picture of my ID and of myself, it says 10 minutes to verify that. Hopefully the fact that my ID has my old address won't be an issue...

EDIT:
Your application for an enhanced account has been approved
Your documents have been verified.

Huzzah!

Withdrawal's still pending though. Since I did that when my account wasn't verified, even though I did the Enhanced Verification now, I wonder if it'll still take a bit.

EDIT2: I cancelled the withdraw and, since my withdrawal limit was increased, did another withdraw for 0.048BTC.

EDIT3: Bittrex says they're supposed to send me an email to confirm the transfer, but I haven't received it yet... (And I did check my spam and such)... Hmm...

Ah.

These days of record BTC highs take me back to 2014, when Bitcoin had crashed from near $1000 to about $300-400.

I spent 0.1 Bitcoin which at the time was around $30 on a VR porn site to use with Google Cardboard.

That .1 is now worth $400.

Good times.

Thank God I did not throw it all away

Since I made 5k € profit so far (i began this trip with 1k € investment a couple months ago) i decided to cash out 2,5k € for some nice things.

Didn't expect anything like it in this short time so I'm more than good even if crypto goes up in flames tomorrow. Still have over 3k € in coins so i hope the ride goes on :)

Seeing a lot of mentions of BTC in mainstream media so this is probably going to attract fresh money. Promising times ahead.

That is awesome, congrats!!!!! I am so glad to see many of us get in at the $5 range and hopefully we can do even better with ATH's.

With NEO in the Top 5, I think that more exchanges will get on board soon only getting the price higher.

I've been tempted several times to sell some of my stack to buy back in lower, hoping to add more but this damn this is so volatile that it is so risky. I've been reading on the reddit thread of guys trying this and losing a ton.

Very late to the crypto scene, even though I have been following it off and on.

I had just tested out transferring funds from Coinbase to Bittrex and sent ~$200 of ETH to purchase OMG.

I had also pre-ordered the Siacoin Obelisk last month, so the current price doesn't bother me, but debating if I should buy a little now while it's under 180 Satoshi.

I'm hating myself for being lazy last month to learn this as I was going to buy then Antshares for around $6. My question to those holding NEO, where do you see the next support to be tested? It looks around $50-$55 is the current one, if it passes that are we thinking $80? I am debating if I should cash out my company stock and throw it at NEO, but damn did it jump to $50 fast. Did ETH make this quick of a move on its way up?

3 hours and counting, and still haven't received the email from Bittrex to confirm moving BTCto Coinbase.
Has anyone ever had a 3+ hour delay even getting the email to confirm the transfer?
(And, again, yes I have checked my junk folder as well)

Does Bittrex show a pending withdrawal on the Wallets page?

I've been doing some quick flips on liqui.io for the last couple weeks and today noticed I'd forgotten about a couple hundred OMG I picked up at the start. Just over $140 worth of it then is sitting at $1300 now.
