In a lot of ways, Random Access Memories seems like the only possible response to dance music in 2013, a lumbering beast Daft Punk are at least somewhat responsible for creating.

I'm pretty sure I heard the 6 min version of Get Lucky on a local radio today. I didn't hear anything great. The song is just ok.

After seeing the success of JT with a week early itunes stream it could not hurt. The marketing has been strong for the album. A stream would bolster more sales and effectively come out as a leak suppressant.

My hype levels cannot be contained.

I honestly dont think I have ever been truly excited for an album before. This is a new feeling for me.

So, it's next week, eh? Apparently Zane Lowe will be dropping tracks all week (probably Hottest Record of Monday + Album of the Week), so if you can resist the inevitable leak*, tune in to BBC Radio 1 at 7pm BST Monday through to Thursday for new stuff. I also won't be too surprised if Radio 1 hammer it hard some point in Friday, what with it being 12 hours of dance music in the evening and everything.

*I haven't checked if it has actually happened yet, and asking will almost certainly result in bans-a-go-go, so don't bother.
